WCG (World's Cheapest Gringo) again here to visit, re-see WCG man.
Spent day doing Guy Stuff, two gringos man.
For lunch, Burger King by virtue of "Two can dine for $Many" coupon, deal man.
WCG scored nearly-new shoes at resale shop for 2x2x2x2x2+(2x2x2)% off, steal man.
WCG & we scored half-or-more off at Sears Hardware store-closing, mobbed there man.
WCG & we scored multiple sale-items at Aldi Foods, deals man.

Oh dear, probably not the dog for us then.  We need a lazy dog who doesn't shed much.  I sense this will lead us back down the path to a Briard, but I don't want another over protective dog with hair that I have to brush more than my own.

And my grandfather dies and no one from my father's family tells me.  I had to find out from my cousin posting on facebook.  Man didn't have that many grandchildren, I'm the freaking first one, and no one tells me.   It is probably because they thought my father did, but of course he didn't.

Husky's shed like crazy and definitely not lazy. Look into St. Benards short hair ones aren't as bad for drooling and their shedding is not bad. I had mine like being vacuumed so that took care of it for me  they are lazy dogs too. Well compared to a lab or huskey. I know a lot of ppl who have them in apartments because a simple walk a few times a day and they are happy.

Standard poodle? Mastiff? Great dane?

 

Maybe not the last two due to where you live.  Maybe a newfoundland or st bernard or great pyrenees?

Thanks, he's the last of my 8 grandparents (including the step ones) and a WWII vet.  I figured it would be within this year when he wasn't well enough to write any letters this year.   I've only got my adopted Jewish grandma left and she isn't doing well either.

I can't get over the way poodles look, otherwise I think it would probably be a good fit.  I have definitely put all those dogs in my short list.  I have some time to figure it out because I sense my husband will take some convincing.

Oh dear, I apparently didn't read very well about them.  I was kind of hoping that they would like to just chill in the snowy backyard, but no way am I going for long walks in the cold.  I'm not sure if a Saint Bernard would fit in my compact car's trunk.  Maybe I need to borrow one for the day to see.

I'm sorry.  My dad could die and likely no one would tell me.  Hell my grandmother died and they didn't tell me.  I know how ya feel.
