Everyone probably has different ideas of what is too cold for them. If it is pretty cold out, I never see snowmobiles, so I'm assuming that people would prefer to use their cars.

I think the issue is that normally it is too cold to snow any significant amount and with the wind it tends to just blow around. A lot of winters (maybe not this winter since we just got a good base to start), the paths along the roads are pretty bare of snow. Maybe in parts of Minnesota with forests and hills they can get a little more use out of them, I don't know.

It's never too cold for snowmobiles. It can be too cold for cars. Even with a block heater I've had cars not start. But further north than where I was, people use snowmobiles on a daily basis as their transportation, with appropriate gear. But with a lack of snow, they aren't usable either.

At GSs as in stores, often the best time to buy expensive goodies like heavy leather coats is when they're going out of season, oj tak. We dimly remember having bought our coat at a springtime GS, oj tak.
