Ok, story time....

This is a story about typical China, it's people sitting there all day long scheming to make money any which way they could. And, it's usually a rip off.

A friend of mine, came from China about 35 years ago. He and his brothers toiled and saved, started a small business here, made some money.

A few years ago, they jumped on the China real estate boom bandwagon. Bought a piece of land in China, somewhere in distant Canton. Built 10 houses on it. But they were only able to sell 2. There's a lot of unsold properties in China. It's a ghost boom. All fake.

Anyway, after sitting on their losses for a couple of years, some Chinaman comes and offers them a huge sum to buy all 10 houses. They won't buy the 8 remaining houses, they want all 10. And they want my friend to buy the 2 houses back, so they can buy all 10 as a whole lot.

Now, this is a classic, low-tech, bait and switch that's older than the sea. And I saw it coming a mile away. I even warned my friend as he was leaving for China to try to buy these 2 houses back, so he can sell the whole thing as a 10 house lot.

I asked him, why would this guy need you to buy back these houses? Why wouldn't he make an offer to the owners of the 2 properties first? I'm sure they're not happy with their purchase, and would be eager to sell....

Now, that's what I'd do if I was this guy looking to buy the 10 houses.

So, my friend, goes back to China, buys these 2 properties back for double what he sold it for. Now he has all 10.

You see where this is going?

Think about this above statistic....

And, the moral of the story?

Don't be in such a hurry to believe what you WANT to believe.....

Man what a sucker. Poor guy bet he would fall for the scams that want you to cash a million dollar check and then send them x amount back as a service fee or what ever.

I have my facebook set up in groups, so they only see things I want them to see.

We're in the business of making a living here. Not social networking.

If you were in the POTS business, no one would have any time for social networking, oj nie.

we need someone with an MBA.

MBAs from the top business skools are pleading with us to hire them, oj tak.

Straight into our corporate policy for POTS transactions in China, :dance: :dance: :dance: man!

This is such a great idea that we are almost (but not quite) inclined to offer you a POTS at only double regular price, oj tak.

We went on Vistaprint.com and ordered ourself Many (2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2-[2x2x2+2+2]) business cards at half-off regular price, savings man.

This was a Lunes Cibernetico special, Cyber Monday man.

Total cost with shipping = $Many ($2x2x2x2-1-.02), steal man.

Now, we can whip out a fancy business card to accompany our Many- (2x2x2-1)-second elevator spiel in answer to "what do you do," whee man.

People are SO naive :/

Even naive people can see this one coming....

Let's see, in the past few years that we've been talking. We've seen the following.

1- Gump's brother thought someone was just going to GIVE him a 50% stake at a money-making restaurant.

2- Tiff's idiot friend thought someone was just going to SELL them a 10% stake at a booming eatery for a low price of 100K

3- Tiff, and the same idiot friend, thought they were going to be zillionaires by joining a MLM.....

And these are just the people that I know. What about the numerous other fook schemes that I told you guys about?

In the end, people will only believe what they want to believe.

Anyone who tries to reason with them, just doesn't want them to get rich.
