Person from a different department than mine got promoted to manager of yet another department. Person just came to my office (also a manager) and just dumped pending work from previous work position on my desk.

Called .. asked.. Humm :ranting:? Decided to hang up before regretting my words.

Boss is out of the office..feel like dumping everything back at person's desk.

Office stuff, yeah I relate. I've been in office situations with high turnover before, but my God nothing like this.

CIO: Who's on the morale committee.

Me: Just me and Ralph.

CIO: I thought we had 5 people on the committee

Me: As you know, Mark in your dept is leaving next Weds. And Margaret just informed me she doesn't want to do it anymore.

CIO: Didn't we once have 5 people on the committee?

Me: We did. But we lost the 2 original committee members, John & Kristy as they left for better jobs. They were replaced by me and Charlie and Bob. Bob left for a new job 3 months ago, and Charlie left 1 month ago.

CIO: Huh. Why are we losing so many people from the morale committee?

About 30 minutes ago....Person came back to my office. I was on the phone but talking over a headset and quiet at the time Person showed up.

Person: Celeste, can you open the big conference room?

(I point to the phone and resume my talk with the person on the line. Asked caller to give me a moment.)

Me: You were saying?

Person: Can you open the conference room?

Me: Once I finish with this call, sure.

Person: <almost upset by having to wait> Can I take your keys?

Me: (Sure, shove them... eerrr ) Here you go

Not usually, but I noticed she has a need and she is impossible to shop for because she never lets you know what she wants.
