My oldest hasn't called or message me since Christmas Eve to tell me they would not be coming for Christmas. They were supposed to come Christmas day but they wanted to do something non traditional and just the two of them. 

 

But the boy is not that bright as he posted what they did with her family. Sadly I saw this coming back in Sept. when he said they would do TG with us. Why do moms of boys always get the short end of the stick??

My mom would ask the opposite question.  To her, all of her kids ran off to do stuff with their in-laws (my sister used to spend a lot of time with her in-laws, I lived so far away and spent every holiday with my ex's family)

I guess she gets the short end of the stick with my brother now too since he lives far away from her but close to his in-laws. 

 

Maybe it's because women seem to have this need to live close to their mothers so their significant other's parents get the short draw?  Do they live close to her parents?  I'd like to live closer to my mom, but not that close!  I think we're pretty happy medium living close to NO ONE! HAHAHAHAH!
