Not yet, I suspect this is a fluke, but if it happens again I might look into it.  The Subaru has a boxer engine, so I don't know if that affects placement of heat and stuff.

Do what they did when building the Al-Can....

Keep engines running 24/7.

There have been options for a long time, but people have always been hesitant about it.

I wonder if some of that hesitation is because people used to (myself included when I was a broke teen) write checks before they got paid assuming money would be there later.  Check clearing is ridiculously fast now if the other person deposits it immediately and big retailers just use e-checks, so I'm not sure I really get people who use checks at stores, etc.  I can't believe how many people my age do this around here.  They are missing out on some good credit card rewards, but whatever, their loss.

For myself, I hate bank transfers, like really hate.  I only do them with my credit cards to make sure that the balance gets paid in full and I don't get charged interest.  Everything else I prefer to write checks or auto-pay with my credit card for the points.  There is something cathartic about sitting down and writing out a check to pay a bill.

I think I stopped using checks in 2000 or in 2005 ;) I don't think anybody uses them in Poland anymore :P

I have an internet access to my bank account and I have two cards - a debit one connected to my account and the credit one.

That's enough to spend the money I earn
