We feel the cold different from them but at those temps my kids would be outside.

Really the only time they didn't go out was when -45 plus windchill. I'd wrap a scarf around their heads over a balaclava and out they went. Heck at -15 that was warm after the cold snap or Jan and Feb :rofl: The winters up there were way to cold and long to not go out.  You  have decent winter gear up there though? Not like the junk they sell here. 

Ours up in Canada used to mark  tempts the stuff was good for, I used to make sure we got the coldest stuff possible. It drives me nuts they don't do that here. I know they don't need it but it's a habit I can't drop. 

 

The Tornado's school won't let them outside when the temps get close to freezing. I'm waiting for them to complain that I have only sent her to school in a sweater. I had the Jedi outside playing and she comes home from school and she was told it was too cold. :rolleyes: I think it's just the aides/teachers/whoever goes out with them can't be bothered.

My younger one has better rated stuff because he won't complain about getting sweaty, but the older's ones coat and pants I think I rated to -5 with moderate activity.  The boots go to -30.  She won't wear anything that will properly protect her neck/face/ears.  

 

You need to send me some Canadian cold tolerance.  I don't know what happens to me at -10, but I just can't take it.  +10 F and I'm good without a coat, but 20 degrees lower and I feel frozen to my bones.

 

At least it will be warming up soon.

We invite both of y'all chicas to move to Texas, always Many vs. subzero man.

 

In a past life, we moved from Iowa to N. Carolina, move we man.

Our first Christmas Day there, it was Many degrees F. and we went outside wearing short pants, whee man.

We exclaimed aloud, to no one in particular, "There is no need to live in the Midwest and be cold, no man!", glee man.

Cold intolerance... sounds like what my wife has. I think she'd trade it for lactose intolerance in a heartbeat.
