Hi everyone!

I was wondering if it is possible to transfer my Ontario G license into a Ohio license without having to re-take the tests? I really hope I can avoid the hassle of the tests and simply drop by and have it done.

I moved from Ontario to Ohio in November 2015. The Ohio BMV (Columbus specifically) gave me a really hard time transferring my Ontario G license. I ended up having to take a written and driving test to receive an Ohio drivers license. They also would not allow me to do so until I had an EAD card in hand because they essentially needed it as an expiry date for the license (but that was because I was on a K1). If you will have a green card in hand when you move you should be able to get the license right away but from my experience you will still need to take the written and driving test, both are quite simple anyways!
