Ok I sent my documents 10/4, but we forget to send the form enotifications for this reason I don't have received any information about my case. I called today and the customer service told me that

So much useful information there. Would someone open a Facebook GRoup, F2A 2016 filers?

I will not have time to administrate such a group but I am sure it will be a success.

nvc will contact within a year or 6 month before your pd become current. they will start to collect fee and documents

I got the IIN and case number from NVC but can not fill the online form DS-261

Also can not pay the fees online, so what does it mean?

I filed for F2A visa for my teenage son

My PD is April 4, 2016

You will need to wait most properly a couple of more months before you can submit your documents to the NVC.

You can prepare most of them already, also try to get your police certificates in a month or two so that you have

them valid when NVC stage appears. My gut feeling says maybe 3-4 months more wait. Others will know more.

So you are saying that Ds-261 Choice of address will be available to fill after 3-4 months ?

I was so happy when got the NVC case number I thought they started to process my case... I didnt know that there will be another waiting time even after getting IIN and case# from NVC
