We got our NOA2!! Our NOA1 was 10/24 and the NOA2 was dated 2/15.

Nebraska is such a black hole... Looks they are still processing filers from the beginning of AUGUST!?? What a joke. Also, looks like NVC processing times just jumped to 8 weeks instead of the previous 6. Patience, friends!

Okay so I think they are on September times now. The system last updated December 31 so they should be working on September 2 2016 and up papers. So by the end of this month febuary they should be working on October's. I'm keeping fingers crossed

What does the NVC processing include? Is that the time it takes to get the packet or the time it takes for them to look through the packet once you send it in?

You all should be thankful that your cases are actually gonna be process, my husbands case is part of the seven Muslim countries being banned and trump is expected to sign a new EO this week. This has definetly been stressful.

Basically setting up the Affidavit of Support (AOS) financial sponsor information, Immigrant Visa (IV) processing fees, medical/police checks, -and setting up the embassy interview. 

 

Basically more fees, paperwork, sending more info, and waiting times.

I've been gathering things for this for the last few months, but do you know if we can fill out the AOS early? It asks for an alien registration number but are we provided one in NOA2?

Yeah, basically you need a case number from the NVC after they receive your info from your service center. After you have that number you can fill out the DS-261 & DS-260, pay fees, and then send your AOS and IV info.
