When did you get your NVC case number? I got my case numbers when I called yesterday, but I can't choose the agent or anything because the welcome letter hasn't been generated yet. I'm wondering how long it takes before I can pay and stuff.

Well after calling and calling and getting it escalated to a supervisor I finally received it on the 22nd.... I gave them my email and I received the welcome letter in my email yesterday morning the 26th and I was able to pay both fees... Make sure they have your email so you can get it via email and not wait for traditional mail!

As some of you may know, my PD is 10/25 with Nebraska and my case is still pending. I submitted an inquiry on 6/14 and today I received this email from USCIS which basically told me nothing:

"The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your case is currently pending adjudication. However, we have had to perform additional reviews on your case, and this has caused a longer processing time.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience."

I called USCIS and spoke to Tier 2 and the lady was super nice but she couldn't tell me any kore information. Pulled up my case and looked at it and said there is "nothing negative" on your case and there is a just high volume of applications which is a BS answer in my opinion because if that was the case then they wouldn't be approving November and beyond cases.

I forwarded the email to my Senator's office but I am not expecting much from them either.

The petition is for my wife who is from the Middle East (not the 6 banned countries) and I think that's the "issue" with my case.

I am losing all hope now .. I guess life is just unfair sometimes.

Hello, friends, what did you or will you send to NVC as " Proof of domicile"?What does NVC really want to prove? This is new , never shown in previous years.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

Check out page 4 and 5 of the instructions for Form I-864. If you live and work permanently in the US, I believe you do not have to send proof of this.

My PD is 25 October 2016. I haven't got approved yet.

Hello, I see we have close PD dates. Any word for you?  They replied to my my e-enquiry with this.

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

Thanks, yes they did answer the third inquiry, after we contacted congressman (around May, the response: case delayed due to pending FBI background check), we requested another inquiry (3rd) and we got a letter in the mail four days ago: "USCIS records show that your case is pending adjudication, however we had to perform additional reviews to your case".  They probably started working on the case when we contacted congressman.

Fingers crossed for your approval.

I think that they have been doing updates and maintaince to the website, unfortunately.

I paid AOS on July 1, and the same thing happened to me. After a week, I still couldn't pay the IV fee.

Our case was approved for expedite on June 30, so we're bringing our AOS and IV package to the embassy directly instead of sending to the NVC. On July 10 NVC updated the website to reflect the expedite. The embassy told us to pay the IV fee directly to them, and the "IV Pay" feature of the website was permanently disabled for us. So our case is. Little different.

Hii!

how do you expedite your case?

thank you for your help!!

I emailed NVC and the Tokyo embassy and explained that my wife's immigrant visa has been making it difficult for her maintain stable employment. Her current job ended June 30, and she has few options for employment because she'll be immigrating soon. I asked for an expedite for this reason, and the embassy accepted it. He embassy, not NVC, approves the expedites at this stage.
