I've read that you can use the applicant's birthdate (YYYYMMDD) instead of the invoice number. Can anyone who already has their NVC Case number confirm this? There are so few cases going to Tokyo that it would be relatively easy to type in the new day's NVC Case Numbers and the birthdate to check if I can log in to pay. At least it would be a faster way to check than calling NVC everyday.

Does any one how much the AOS and IV fee is? Our I-130 was approved last week and is being sent to NVC. I would just like to know how much we are expected to pay for the following steps. Thank you

Hi,

It is $120 - AOS and $325 for the IV

Why is everyone quiet here? Any new approvals lately? I see our November people receiving a lot of approvals. My PD date is October 26, and I haven't heard a word, but whenever I see people gets approved it makes me hopeful!

Hi,

We have already received our approval and our priority date was Oct 17. Don't loose hope!

Hi

At least in our case our case number has nothing to do with the applicant's DOB.

I read several posts, they were a couple years old, that you could use either the DOB or the Invoice Number to log in to select the agent. I'm not sure what was going on at that time, but maybe NVC stoped allowing you to log in with either.

Did you have to send in your DS260 Confirmation page when you sent in your packet?

I'm leaving for Japan on June 30, and I should have my NVC Case Number by early next week. I was hoping that if I was able to pay the AOS and IV bill before I leave, I could send in the package. However, I don't think I'll be lucky enough for the DS260 to unlock before I go. I may not even be lucky enough for the AOS and IV bills to unlock before I leave.

I submitted an inquiry, and I heard nothing for 4 weeks. Then it got approved, and the next day they responded to my inquiry.

Hi! I'm curious how did you submit inquiry and where before you got approved? Is it in the USCIS Website? I saw your timeline priority date 10/06/16 and got approved 05/30/7.

In my understanding I can't submit inquiry in the USCIS Website if my priority date is not passed the timeline in their website. In May Nebraska timeline showed processing priority date 09/31/16 and I tried to submit inquiry on that time but they couldn't let me and didn't give me any request ID Number and said that my priority date has not passed the date in the Nebraska processing timeline.

On 14th June 2017, Nebraska finally updated their timeline and said processing 10/31/16 so I file inquiry and it succeed at that time and got request ID number.

So I'm curious how can you file inquiry before you got approved on 05/31/16 when your priority date has not passed Nebraska timeline in USCIS Website?

My PD is 10/25/2016. Thank you.

Hey so what i did is i started calling nvc after about 3 days, and received my case number in a week after i was approved. Also ask for your invoice number and case number so you can go on line assign an agent and pay the fees even before you get your welcome letter. You have to pay them one at a time and this process actually took the longest. Once they are both paid check regularly if the ds-260 is available, you'll see buttons like start now but can't do them until everything else is done. You can check nvc.state.gov to see if you can electronically file like i did. They are really fast, i had two checklists and finished in 12 days. Scan all documents,  submit to nvcelectronic, only if eligible. If you can't, collect all your documents in one package and mail it out together.

My only advice is of you are using a joint sponsor, clearly identify everything. I created an additional document checklist after the second checklist i got from them because i kept getting asked for duplicates.

Also to ease your stress, everyone is passed through this part. Nvc does not make decisions on our cases it's our interview that decides. The lady told me they are just there to help and collect our documents!

Hope this helps. I called alot lol.

I just saw this, thank you for your help.

Also, i got my numbers but they told me at NVC that i need to wait for the welcome

letter in order for us to choose an agent and pay the fees.

Question!

do i pay the AOS bill before the other bill or do they unloock at the same time?

Thank you!

I've been calling everyday since USCIS approval (May 26). NVC received on 6/12/2017, but when I call they say that there is no case number yet. Monday will be two weeks, so if I don't have it by then I can escalate to a supervisor.

When did you get your case number? Just tying to predict how long it is currently taking them

You do not have to wait for your welcome letter, i didn't!

I got my nvc case number and my invoice number and you can start all the processes right now.

Go to the ceac website and log in.

AOS opens first after you do the agent and then IV.

Don't wait! Getting an interview has been the longest part of this process. I finished in May 19 and am still waiting for the interview date.

Good luck!
