I'm so sorry for you. It's so hard waiting. We waited a long time for Nebraska service also. 199 days. Keep faith!

Work on your case in the meantime. Check what you need to do when approval comes in. We always said to each other: Every day is one day closer to get together. So yes, keep faith. I read because of workload they forwarded cases. Specials, to other offices. So yes we know... Nebraska cases go sloooow.... You can also call by yourself, you can do if you have the receipt number they sent you, might offer you more confidence doing as much about as you can. Success and try a prayer. It helps us every day. HE makes no differences!

happy to see a few new approvals, and sending prayers for those still waiting...

...just wanted to check in with everyone... we are still waiting at NVC for our "case closed".. 3 1/2 weeks of waiting.. hoping to see some movement in about 4 more weeks.  seems like the 11 week wait is getting whittled down a bit.  many approvals in 8-9 weeks.. so I will give it a couple more weeks and call to see if we are in review yet.  anyway.. keep the faith people😀we will all get to the end of this one day😊

Hey everyone, this pertains to NVC so read it NOW to avoid the chance of a checklist there.

We are seeing that so many people from all over the world are getting checklists requesting a different version of their birth certificates than the ones they sent.

Unfortunately, we have already sent our package out last week, and we only found out today that we have the wrong version of my husband's birth cert.

Please check with your embassy specific thread here on visa journey to find out which version is needed. The people who have gone before us are our vest resources.

The official Embassy webpage for our country is outdated and unreliable, so don't count solely on the info provided by your embassy's official reciprocity schedule.

I can not urge you enough to please look up the thread here on visajourney for your specific embassy, and enquire the correct version of the birth certificate.

For anyone coming from Uganda, you must get the new long version from NIRA in Kololo. Apparently the other NIRA field offices do not yet issue these.

Good luck to you all. I know that we will all be looking back on this journey with misty eyes ten years down the road, but in the arms of our loved ones.

Thank you so much to the creators and curators of visajourney. This website is the MOST useful website I have ever come across. May you be eternally blessed for doing the important and sacred work of bringing families together.

Amen

Thank you! At this point I just know He is the only one that can make a way. As for praying,I am doing a fair share of that.  What kills me is my six year old always complaining of missing dad and she is already a citizen, but my paper work has to go through before we can go to dad this year.  Because we can't afford just a visit this year since we will be moving anyway.

I got interested in your case. To get it clear, your husband filed I-130. He's an Armenian US  permanent or conditional residence, right? And you are with your 6 yo in Sierra Leone. And he also filed for the I-129F. You need lots of help and support to get you together... I don't have the knowledge nor the time to get in this. Isn't there someone reading this who can help this family? Can't they make an appeal on hardship. Or some other way to just get them together and have petitions creeping forward in the US? Seems good to me your husband tries to do so wit I-129F. Someone else who has the knowledge about, to respond on this case of I-130 together with I-129F? Are they doing right? Please!

My husband and daughter are both US citizen. We filed I-130 in October and I129F in November in hopes that we could be together as a family while paper work goes through, we haven't been lucky yet. I pray we get approval soon and thank you so much for your interest. We will get through this! To all of us still waiting it is only a matter of time and I am borrowing your words everyday takes us closer to the finish line!

Hmm... Lost my answer to you... must be hanging in the cloud somewhere... Again:

Good to read you take it one day at a time. Excellent approach, always be ready, always be connected..., ABC! The way your husband filed is called concurrent (simultaneous) filing. You may know... I-129F can get a more early approval. I think your case got slightly delayed by that now. But you have a chance you'll be together sooner. I hope this works out for you. Did you check familiar cases? Because you wrote you got confused when your husband did  that. I found one that shows next, for a start or continuation.... :)  There are more of course... And check NVC so you know what comes next. Your husband probably does. I'll be off here for a while, get my errands done and prepare for upcoming hot days here in caravan.

YAY!!! It took a week for USCIS to send the documents to NVC (Noa2 on 5/26 & sent to NVC on June 6) and it was a week after that that it arrived (arrived June 13). We don't have the NVC number or the invoice number, they said that takes less than 2 weeks. My wife hasn't recieved anything yet, but I think that once it gets to the embassy phase then she'll start getting mail from them. Congrats again!
