This is very frustrating. I don't want this to delay any more. I call NVC and they just tell me I need to wait for it to "reset". I should already be paying the second fee and should send out my packet by end of this week.

i can understand your frustration. this process can make even the most relaxed person a complete nutcase.  the process is way too long, and no one seems to care when there is a problem.  your completely at their mercy.  i pray u get the "reset" soon.  hang in there

It is a known error. I processed the first payment successfully and have waited over a week and the second payment hasn't processed. It hasn't come out of my account and was given the error message. I tried to process it again like the agent told me to and it says there is a payment in process. I spoke to the agent and they advised me to send my documents and I did yesterday and they should arrive today at the NVC. I am honestly frustrated because I feel this will slow our process down. We will see fingers crossed it won't happen.

you sent in your papers before you finished paying the fees?  i would have been afraid to do that.  the site says to send in the documents after your cleared fee payments.  i hope it doesnt confuse them.  they seem to get confused easily lol.  i pray everything processes smoothly😊

But here there's people saying i can call and get my numbee so my husband can send his affidavit of support and i can fill up the next application. Im confused, i just want to do things as fast as posible so this process takes less time!!

You are not alone .. I am sitting here waiting as well .. They are processing and approving November cases and we are still here waiting .. not fair! Has there been any new approvals from October recently? I believe 10/25 is the bottom of the list at Nebraska as all the cases beyond that date were transferred to Texas. Any early October filers are still waiting here?

I am Oct 6 and I was only approved May 30. Ask a tier 2 when your background check started, then add 45 days to that date. That should give you a fair estimate on when you'll be adjudicated, unless you are one of the few people who have  extended background checks.

There are still some early Oct. and even Sept. still waiting too. It's crazy

I spoke to two different agents and they told me to send it since there was a problem with the site. They said they won't look at the paperwork until the other 2 steps are complete. There is a glitch they don't seem to know how to fix.

they cant seem to fix the spelling of my husbands name either.. they put it in as Yinod instead of Vinod... they assure me the typo wont cause any issues later on, and they will get the error corrected when they do his paperwork.. but who knows.  seems like when they have a problem they get confused easily and they cant fix it😐 i hope everyones approvals, come soon so this nightmare can end.. its been 1 week now since my documents were scanned.. but still a long time waiting.  8-10 weeks😔

does it inform you on the site that ur documents have been scanned? Or did you have to call to figure that out?

i called.  they are scanned generally within 2 days of recieving them.  but my understanding is.. the 11 week wait doesnt begin until the other steps (fees and such) are paid.  mine were paid before i sent mine.  so they gave me my acceptance date last thursday after my documents were scanned on wednesday.  i could be wrong but you should ask.  the rep made some comment about "your profile, including fees are complete so you can assume the 11 week waiting from wednesday when your documents scanned"..so sounded like to me.. all has to be complete before the clock begins..

That is true. They informed me they won't review the papers until the other steps are complete. It looks like several people are going through challenges with the payments. It looks like it cleared and is no longer in process. I am going to attempt to make the payment again this evening.

Hello everyone,

My sincere, heartfelt sympathies are with those of you who have not yet been approved.
Our Priority Date was October 13th, and we were approved on May 4th.

Now we called NVC from Uganda, and they gave us our Case Number as well as Invoice number, told us we were received on the 26th of May, and that we should be able to pay by June 9th.

This is an insane process. I pray all the time that the people who handle our cases know these are families whose lives they are holding in their hands.

We are a bit confused...according to all the official NVC stuff, they will assign us an interview date. But according to most (but not all) Nairobi Consulate filers, they have to keep checking some website to be lucky enough to "catch" an interview date. This is worrying us. Some people wait up to three or four months before they can even select an interview date, and then there is another wait of a few weeks after selecting to the date of the interview. Does anyone know if this is true?

Another question....my husband's immunization records were lost during the civil war, and now we don't know what to do. What are the acceptable forms of immunization proofs for the medical exam? We want to get on top of this as soon as possible to avoid any further delays. Can he get a letter from his mother stating the vaccines he got, the reason his record is lost, and signed by our local government agency?

I am thinking of you all who are not yet approved. We pray for you guys and we know your frustration. Stay strong. We are warriors!

Yes.I am also waiting.very concerned. Mine sent on the 19th, but not received. How could yours be approved and sent on the same date? Normally not on the same date, you sure? Thanks for answering.

I called yesterday and they already received my case but have not established a case number for my case yet. He said it can take up to two more weeks but even be earlier for them to put in the system. Even you can call to check up on your case (603) 334-0700. You get automated options I always select 2. And you just have to wait for them to answer and receive your call. Maybe they already have your case?
