Hello everyone, I am losing it. Our I130 was received October 26 and anytime I check for case status that's the only thing I am told. The boredom of being apart is nerve racking. My husband also filed an I129F in November, but nothing is moving.  Is anyone sharing date or nearby that hasn't received approval? Help!

No, not yet I'm gonna call again this week to get our case number and start the next payments, NVC said it takes a month to get cases that are approved but that is a lie. They just say that for the people that don't know.

Did you check when USCIS SENT to NVC on your website? Not the approval date, but the sent date?

I-130 is for spouses and I-129F is for fiances. If you filed both of those at the same time I can see why your case is taking a long time.

There is an I-129F used as a spousal K-3 Visa that maybe Tenneh is referring to. They are mostly obsolete from what I have read but I also applied for it (even though it was eventually terminated once I was approved for the I-130).

I know the process can be long but just keep holding on!  It will all be worth it in the end!

That's interesting. Also found this:

"But at least equally important is that USCIS and NVC have conspired to choke off K-3 issuance. First, USICS routinely delays adjudicating the K-3 petition (filed on Form I-129F) so that it is adjudicated simultaneously with the related I-130."

Hope it works out for Tenneh...

It's like ECBZ said. There is I129F for already married and That option was to allow a faster visa (K3) so that you can be with your spouse while filing process for I130 is ongoing, but USCIS doesn't think it is a proper use of their time. So they rather work on I130 instead. Smh

nothhing new. stuck in the new black hole 'extended review'. No idea what that means, may be extended review for bg check. loosing all hope now

Have you talked to a tier 2 recently? They can tell you if there has been any recent activity on your case. From what I understand, the majority of people go through 72 hours of BG checks. Another group of people go through additional BG checks for 45 days (I'm guess I'm in that group as my case started to have activity around 45 days after the BG started). And one more group goes through bG checks that last even longer.

Does anyone have a contact for Tier2 or how to get to them? The number I have gives me the same info on the website. I want to call just to know if there has been action on our case. Thanks for your support

it's basic costumer service number. You'll have to ask to speak to a tier 2. Sometimes they don't want to transfer you, but just politely say that you want to escalate the call to a tie to 2.

it is hit and miss with tier 2s. They have access to more information about your case, like if there has been some kind of action, but sometimes they won't look it up for you if your case is "within processing times" Just call again the next day and  eventually someone will tell you the last time there was some action on your case.

It doesn't change anything to know if there has been any action on my case, but it helps my anxiety to be able to do something.

you can also get this information from an Infopass appointment. With an Infopass appointment you are talking face to face with someone. It's the same info you can get with a tier 2, but sometimes it helps to see someone face to face.

Hey guys, I got approved last week on the 24th.. I just wanted to see if anyone can give me info on how I will know or can find out that the uscis has sent over my case to nvc? Also what are the next steps like or what should I do?

Thanks in advance!

Talked to a tier 2 today, and.... we were "recommended for approval", ie, we're approved! I guess that it is next seen by a supervisor before the official letter is sent out, that is what the Tier 2 told me, and until the letter is sent they say "recommended for approval" rather than approved.

232 days in between NOA 1 and approved, what a long wait. I'm hoping that step 2, NVC, can go smoothly.
