i130 PD: October 31st

Case Transfer to Texas: March 22nd and received March 23rd

i130 Approved: April 28th

NVC Received Approval: May 11th

Email of Case Number/Invoice Number and checklist: May 24th

Agent selected: May 24th

Fee submission: AOS May 24th paid currently processing and awaiting for  IV fee to be available

Question: I am reviewing the AOS needed documents. Do I have to submit an employment letter and my pay stubs? I don't see them requesting that.  Also, if I am submitting the tax transcripts and tax returns do I have to include the w2? Lastly, my husband is the beneficiary and he has a court ordered child support and visitation in place that he complies with. Do he have to include that for NVC request of court documents or does that only apply to criminal court cases? Thanks much

mine took 2 days.. then 1 day for iv fee.. then 2 days until paid.. then immediate could file iv forms.. done with nvc in 8-9 days total..now all I can do is wait until nvc processes my file

Hey Nessamom, could you help me understand what you put in your packet. I see on the welcome email they ask for W2 Forms, IRS Tax Transcripts, Federal Income Tax Return as well as Evidence of Income. I understood before that having a letter from employer and IRS tax returns was all I needed.

Also, it says we need to have proof of relationship (only for I864-A). Did you send in proof and is this something we should do?

Hey so what i did is i started calling nvc after about 3 days, and received my case number in a week after i was approved. Also ask for your invoice number and case number so you can go on line assign an agent and pay the fees even before you get your welcome letter. You have to pay them one at a time and this process actually took the longest. Once they are both paid check regularly if the ds-260 is available, you'll see buttons like start now but can't do them until everything else is done. You can check nvc.state.gov to see if you can electronically file like i did. They are really fast, i had two checklists and finished in 12 days. Scan all documents,  submit to nvcelectronic, only if eligible. If you can't, collect all your documents in one package and mail it out together.

My only advice is of you are using a joint sponsor, clearly identify everything. I created an additional document checklist after the second checklist i got from them because i kept getting asked for duplicates.

Also to ease your stress, everyone is passed through this part. Nvc does not make decisions on our cases it's our interview that decides. The lady told me they are just there to help and collect our documents!

Hope this helps. I called alot lol.

I sent my official tax transcripts as those are better than simply your personal tax return.  anyone could print any number on a tax return, bit then send in different numbers to the irs.  so I sent my copy from the irs.  I did send a letter from my employer but it isn't required.  I also send copies of my paystubs for proof of annual salary.  as far as the i-864a.. I sent in an i-864a because I have a child who is 18 and currently working so I added her income as well.  proof of relationship is based on your relationship with the person listed on your i-864a.  mine is my daughter so for relationship proof I sent another copy of my tax returns showing I claim her as a dependent.

does this help u?? if any more questions just ask😊

If anyone knows.....Do you think the IRS w2 transcripts would work along with my IRS return transcripts? Or should I get the actual w2 from my employer?

Thanks!

Hi,elleandeff, NVC really received your case on 05/24?how did you find that out? Did you call them? I asked you this because you were approved on 04/26, so it took one month for them to receive?

I called Tier 2 again today. That person told me that he could see that there was action on my case, but that a decision hasn't been made yet. He predicted that it would be any day now, but when pressed couldn't say how long. He did say, it won't be months before I get a response.

Have you heard anything new on your case? Have you been any to clear the BG yet?

nothhing new. stuck in the new black hole 'extended review'. No idea what that means, may be extended review for bg check. loosing all hope now
