It isn't the same for us. Our NOA1 is October 6, 2016, and no end in site. I hope all is well for you and your case is completed soon.

I see by your timeline your pd is beginning of october and VJ estimated time for your application to be adjudicated has passed. My pd is Oct 31 and my estimated time is may 18- may 28. If it passed for me, I'd call. Have you tried calling and talking to a tier2 rep?

I've talked to a Tier 2 everyday since April 20. I had an Infopass appointment today too. The only thing they can tell us is that we havcan been stuck in a background check since April 11. This is apparently why our adjudication is being delayed. W just have to wait and hope that it doesn't take too much longer.

Hopefully it won't be much longer. However if time keeps passing by, contact your congressman. I'm giving it time till beginning of june based on VJ estimate times, if not, I am calling. I see background checks happen a lot for people in the middle east or asian countries. :/

Days keep passing by and I keep getting frustrated. I hardly sleep. Maybe 3 hours a night, not sure. IS anyone else experiencing stress to a degree? I'm going into 8 months of waiting for my noa2. VJ says between may 18 to may 28 I should have my case adjudicated but sometimes I lose hope.

Anyway, sorry for the bummer post. If anyone has gotten approved or at least a notice, can you update us please?

Hi there,

I know this gets frustrating to hear over and over, but Im going to say it because I have lived it now....HANG IN THERE.

Our NOA2 just came yesterday. Our PD was Oct 13th, so you still most likely have a couple of weeks. I know that isnt fun to hear. I am telling you because I want you to know that it is "the norm" for Nebraska.

You are not alone in feeling stressed. I actually turned off ntofications of similar cases because it was giving me anxiety to hear and then see all the cases around us get approved. Each time my phone alerted me, I held my breath, thinking it might be us this time around.

The ONLY reason I found out we got approved is because I called on Monday. The first person told us we were still being processed, so I asked for tier 2. It was tier 2 that told me we were approved. Sure enough, I found a letter in the mail that afternoon.

This is a very trying process...it can wreak havoc on your nerves, especially if your spouse is having medical issues in a country with poor medical services!

But trust me, your approval will come. I believe the estimated wait time is pretty accurate.

If you havent already, give USCIS a call. Who knows? Yours could get approved like ours, with no notifications at all.

(By the way, ours still shows as only recieved on the website and in the apps. And we havent gotten any email or text message. All we have is the actual NOA2 and confirmation from Tier 2.

Good luck, stay strong, and get your AOS and IV packets organized.

Thank you, we were following your case and were happy to see you got NOA2. We have no idea why we are in this limbo. No criminal record. No previous immigration

We all feel the same. I was jealous when people of the same processing date as us were approved and we weren't. I got angry when people of later processing dates were approved before ours. I was crying everyday and was depressed. Since we have been approved I feel better because I have hope my husband will be here soon and the progression is starting. The hardest part is we all wait so long with no answers or information. Stay strong it happens when you least expect it. I found out when the alert on the uscis app went off at 7am and woke me up. I was so frustrated and said aloud "I wonder who got approved before us now" then I did a double take because it ended up being us. The estimated date was April 23-May 2. We found out May 2. It's hard but we all know the feeling. We just need to help each other through it. 😁

I am a PD October 5 and still waiting. My app also shows other i130 October 5 PDs without status updates since October. Just to say, I think there are others in the same boat, including myself.

we were planning to try info pass route. But it seems now that it won't be helpful as well.

It isn't. The infopass is the same as talking to a tier 2, they tell you basically the same information.

I have a theory that someone isn't checking their email and all of our background checks have been cleared for several weeks. It's just a theory, one of many I come up with during my many hours of thinking.

yes. we are following both of your timelines. I guess if anyone of us get a positive response, that will be a great relief to others. I really hope we all will cross this barrier anytime soon.
