How do you get the app to track other cases similar to yours? I cannot figure that out...

Android or ios? I have android and got 2 apps lol. One is called USCIS App and the icon looks like a shield. The other is USCIS Case and the icon has the US map on it. Once you get either, I can guide you through it

Great! I'm not sure if very little cases are getting approved because they're slow or if my app is slow in notifying me lol. But it works and at least cases are moving. Best of luck for you!

I just received my NOA-2 approval (May 2; NOA-1 first received Oct 19 to be processed at Nebraska, and transferred to Texas on Mar 7) but I am very confused.

When I applied, I have stated that my husband is residing with me overseas.  I even have an overseas address.  But the NOA said that noting that my husband is living in the States, I am advised to submit a I-485 for adjusting his status at the NCSC.  If I want to forward my application to NVC, I need to submit a I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition... and not only that, but I also need to pay an extra $465 for filing I-824?!?!

I am so confused!! Anyone else run into that? Is this a mistake? I don't want to wait any longer than necessary, not to mention that I have to pay again an expensive cost for no reason.

You won't receive any notification confirming a scan date.  If they confirmed that they received your documents on march 10th, then that is your scan date.

The next update you will receive is when your case is completed.

@JBMG put together a nifty little guide showing how you can confirm a case complete:

Thank you so much! now.it clear to me. Thank you

Are you for NVC or NOA 2?

I think NOA2? I dont know exactly what you're asking. I know my i130 was approved May 5th. They are sending something in the mail. Eventually it will get sent to the NVC is what i understand.

Unless your husband is residing in the United States, you should not be filing for adjustment of status.  Instead, you should have filed Direct Consular Filing (if available in your country), or you should have indicated which country he will be applying for the visa from per Question 22 of the I-130

There was a lot of confusion about this question in the past since it almost seems as if both response lines fall under Adjustment of Status but according to what I've read, if your husband is overseas, the overseas consulate location should have been entered on the right hand side.  A lot of times when people have left it blank or entered US locations on either side of this question, they received notifications regarding adjustment of status.

I would suggest you call the USCIS and make sure that they are still processing your application as an IR1/CR1.  There's a chance they might have simply sent you the wrong letter.

Days keep passing by and I keep getting frustrated. I hardly sleep. Maybe 3 hours a night, not sure. IS anyone else experiencing stress to a degree? I'm going into 8 months of waiting for my noa2. VJ says between may 18 to may 28 I should have my case adjudicated but sometimes I lose hope.

Anyway, sorry for the bummer post. If anyone has gotten approved or at least a notice, can you update us please?

It isn't the same for us. Our NOA1 is October 6, 2016, and no end in site. I hope all is well for you and your case is completed soon.
