October 2016 I-130 Filers

So I just got off the line with a tier2 agent, and they said that my case had been moved back to Nebraska! Has anyone else had this happen? My case was received on Oct 19th, then moved to Texas on March 10th, and now is it apparently back in Nebraska??? She didn't know when, but her info was that it was in Nebraska now. Going to call again tomorrow to see if I can get more info...

I was approved on April 27th and I know its not been long but I decided to call just to see what would happen. He told me it would most likely be 6 weeks until they would receive it. Would it really take that long? I am so thankful to be approved but now am anxious to keep the ball rolling.

You should check the USCIS website to see if it says sent to NVC. My case was approved on 4/4/17, case was sent to NVC on 4/19 and I finally got my NVC case number/Invoice # yesterday.  I never got a notice in the mail/email when it was sent to NVCThese next steps should move much quicker than getting approved.

This is exactly what happened to me! I freaked out since I thought we were finally out of the black hole, but the Tier 2 Officer I talked to said they moved us back since TX was now overloaded. Our PD was 10/31/2016 and our case was sent to the NVC yesterday! Don't worry too much your approval should be any day now!

Hello guys, can you please help me out. I just want to know what is the current status for the visa approval on I-130? We filed on November 2016, do you guys know when we will be okay? I just want a roughly estimate. Please help me.

Ruby, we are October 13th. I called last week and got the rudest Tier 1 ever. She basically insulted me by saying that I need to stop calling when all they can do is tell me the same thing. She refused to transfer me to a Tier 2. I didn'twrite down her badge # because she said it so fast, but I doubt it would help anyway.

 

So you were told that if you don't get a reply by the 20th to call back then? I wonder why some people get helpful info, and others of us get nothing. This b***h just told me to look for when October 13th is listed as the current processing date, and THEN and ONLY THEN can I rightfully call back.

 

I actually cried after this call. All i wanted was to know if our case had even been looked at yet. I totally get that they answer countless calls all day long. But they need to be compassionate and understand these are families who are in desperate need of information about their case. We aren't calling about some material object.

There are many of us from October who are still waiting....Im October 13th and haven't gotten any useful info from calling.

 

To get a tier 2, ask the tier 1 to transfer you. They will send your call to an automated answering service where you will set up a call back. It can take less than 1 hour for tier 2 to call back, or a full day.

Hello- I was approved 4/21 and we are still waiting for the notification about being sent to the State Department. I am hoping it comes soon. Our lawyer seems fairly confident it will be coming soon, despite the National Visa center also telling me it could be 6 weeks. I am going to keep calling. 

 

Huge hugs to everyone who hasn't heard it yet. I know it is agonizing and you have my deepest sympathies.

Use this link to check if it was sent to NVC.  This was the only way I found out it was sent.  My case was approved on 04/04 and sent on 04/19 so it should be sent any day now.....'

when you call customer service, ask to talk to a tier 2, they'll transfer you. The tier 2 can tell you if your application is with an officer or if it isn't stuck in background checks. Most likely it is stuck in background checks.

Did u mean 'no one' got approved? I was following around 50 oct 4 filers using the app and only 4 are yet to get approved. Background check is so frustrating arghhh. will be contacting senator again next week, . will let u know if i get any further information. Good luck.

Sometimes it work, sometimes it don’t work.

On my timeline it say April 3 and April 14.

At one point it worked for me, they received my RFE April 14, 2017

Now mine say for approved May 2 and May 14 so I am waiting to see if it will work this time.
