Hey guys, when you are talking to tier 2, what are you saying to them or asking? I really think that part of my reason for them pushing through my case for approval was because i let them know that i knew what was going on, about tone lines and i brought up the fact that other cases were getting approved over mine when this is a first come first serve service, without being rude of course. I've had my fair share of genetic response, even one girl who was literally being coached what to say.

It's coming guys!

I called USCIS and asked to talk to a Tier 2. The estimated wait time to talk to someone was 338 minutes, and that was at 8:05 a.m. Last week I called every day at the same time and the wait time to talk to a Tier 2 was no more than 160 minutes. I'm guessing that May day events are taxing USCIS' resources today.

My NOA1 date is October 6. I was told that a background check was started on April 11, and that is the reason for our delay.

I am honestly afraid of calling USCIS? I heard that it slows down your process?? Or is that just a myth in order to get you not to call lol... USCIS recieved my case 24th I got the physical letter NOA1 on the 26th of October.... How do I call?

I doubt the myth that calling causes delays, I don't think that USCIS is vindictive like that. I've read too many stories of people getting approved after talking with a Tier 2, so I'm buying that myth :). In the end, whether you have delays or not seems to be a combination of factors, but also a great deal of random chance.

To call dial 1 (800) 375-5283 then press 1 for English, then 2, then press 1 again. Then enter your receipt # and then press 1 to confirm. Press 3 to talk with a representative. The operator will ask you a few questions to confirm your case, and then they ask what they can do for you. Just say, "I have questions for a Tier 2." They'll transfer you and you'll set up a call back. After a few hours, a Tier 2 will call you back. If it is someone helpful, they tell you if there has been a background check, or if your case is with an officer. If you get someone unhelpful, they'll tell you the "current" processing time and not much else. Just keep calling back, you'll eventually get someone helpful.
