If you have android phone, there are better apps to track up to 100 cases and if i'm on LTE i can use unlimited amount of cases, so i can go back and forth to different dates to.

What App do you recommend? I have an android tablet.

Looks like my case has officially been received at the NVC. I was assigned a case ID and an invoice number. In my haste, I forgot to give my email to the customer service representative (d'oh!). But I'll call and try to give it tomorrow.

My timeline thus far --

NOA1: 10/4/2016

NOA2: 4/10/2017

Sent to NVC: 4/18/2017

Case Assigned at NVC: 4/26/2017

One quick question. We have a lawyer assigned to our case. Should I still call and give my email address? Can I give both my lawyer's email address and mine? Is the DS-261 form even still valid if I have a lawyer?

didn't call USCIS. Contacted Senator twice. First time, we were  told that our case  is just taken for review by an officer and we can expect a result within 2-3 weeks.  Due to extreme impatience, called again in 2 weeks  and was told our case is pending background check clearance. But this time, no speculated time frame given. Senator office will contact USICS again after 30 days. Waiting patiently counting days!!

search for senator's office nearby/in your state and contact them. You might have to fill in a 'privacy release form' so that they can contact USCIS for retrieving information on your behalf. We haven't got any specific updates regarding background check. They told it may be for beneficiary or petitioner or both.
