One month and half?? Owww there are people who got approved October 11 PD.. I don't think it will take that long... the USCIS website says August 30 as of February... I'm hoping this month they will work on October filers... don't give up... soon you will be approved.. I'm hoping for mine too... my PD is October 25...🤞🤞

I called twice today. Once in the morning, once in the evening and was told the exact same thing. Wait 1.5 months. I asked, "In 1.5 months should I ask them the same thing I told you today?", She said, yes...

Anyone know how to talk to a tier 2? Can the tier 2 do anything different than the regular operator?

When you speak to the first person, you simply tell them you are requesting to speak to a Tier 2 Immigration officer as the information you need is not available to the Tier 1.. easy... usually when you are transfered you will get the recording telling you they are all busy... so follow the prompts to leave your  name number etc and the call back will come.. it may be hours but it will come.

I attempted to get information from two tier 2 officers. I got no where with either. They said we aren't outside of normal processing times so I have to wait until that point. Super frustrating. If i were you I wouldn't waste ur time or energy.

When you speak to the regular customer service representative you have to ask to speak to a "Tier 2" or "Level 2" representative. They may not want to transfer you; in which case, hang-up and call again and make the same request. At some point you will be transferred. If you try this, call first thing in the morning (the lines open at 8 AM whatever timezone you happen to be in), your wait will be much shorter (~2-3 hours) to be transferred. You can schedule a call back so that they will automatically call you back when the Tier 2 representative is free.

However, I don't think this is going to help you out to much. My general experience has been that until your application is out-of-date, calling them is futile. 99% of the time you will hear the following --

"I'm sorry sir/ma'am; we're currently processing applications as of August 30, 2016. Your application is still currently within normal processing deadlines. Please call back when it exceeds the normal prcoessing deadline)".

If you are extremely luck you may get some further information like your application is undergoing background checks. But again, this doesn't help you.

Congratulations!

So, when you check your case in the webpage, still not showing any updates about approval?

Thank you! It is difficult to say because we were out of town from April 15-23 and had our mail on hold. So it the notification arrived some time last week. Interestingly, this afternoon the website updated and I received notification via email and text message. So the letter may arrive in the mail a few days earlier than the website is updated.

I see that alot of people have mentioned that they received something in the mail before receiving an email or an update using the USCIS website. But has anyone gotten a timely email? I am checking the website and my email compulsively and wonder if its just making me go crazy without being worth it. But calling seems to do nothing and I assume any mail would be delayed since I live outside the US.

We have a priority date of October 5, 2016 and the VJ timeline says we should be processed as of today :(

Any thoughts on the timeliness of online updates?

I noticed that people that stayed in their original center received the email and notifications. It seems like those that were transferred got their notice by mail first.

But that's just my observation :)

I hope we get good news soon, it seems like time is standing still.....
