Yes, you are right. I'm expecting to see a big catch-up on next update in USCIS website. I'm planing to prepare documents for next process with NVC in April (birth certificate, police report, tax report and stuff...) by the way.  I want them to be ready before I get an approval so that I don't waste a single second on this. However, it seems  pretty complicated after getting an approval. For instance, I need to call NVC to get a case number, set my husband as an agent, pay some fees and wait for barcode sheet is generated ... I hope we can also discuss about next process around next month and some tips for preparing all the documents to save some time when October filers all get an approval!

This post on the NVC really helped clear things up for me NVC Process . I have been working on getting everything all ready to go as well! Hopefully it goes smoothly for all of us and the worst is soon to be over!

Thank you SO SO MUCH Jnicole! The link you mentioned explains NVC process with details. I appreciate your help a lot.

Best regards,

Min.

Seems most of you have been filed at Nebraska.... is there anyone else who's still waiting for news from Potomac?

Potomac is still working on September filers by the middle of April  or should I say second week of April they will be working on October filers.

They should be worker bg on sept 20's and so on now.

My pd is September 16 and I got RFE on March 21. RFE for what? We will not know until we get the letter in the mail.

5 months no news yet for october 2016??

No news except just being transferred. Some got hard copy notification by mail that says where their file got transferred but in my case, I'm still waiting for the mail and that means, I still don't know where it was sent. Lot of people estimate that October files will be processed in mid/end of April.

Received the hard copy, we are transferred to Texas service center. Looks like people transferred there from late September are getting approvals or RFEs now. Fingers crossed it stays at a similar pace!

Just got off the phone with USCIS hoping they could tell me where we were transferred to, when I typed in our LIN number the automated system said we were sent to Nebraska, where we originally filed, even though we received a transfer notice. Has this happened to anyone else? Hoping it's just an error in their system and on the wait list for a call back from them..

I dont think email processing is available.  DHK embassy isn't on the list of email processing (Dhaka).

I wish it was :(

Hi everyone! So I finally spoke to a human at USCIS! On the 14th we were transferred to Texas, then on the 16th our file was sent back to Nebraska, where we originally filled, who is still processing August 9th. The woman said that based on our PD of 10/27/2016 and how many files they are processing per day we are looking at around 90 DAYS  until the NOA2/decision is made. This is insane and based on that and current processing times at the NVC our whole process wont be over until late October or November! I am really hoping that someone has different information and this woman was crazy or something :( really, really sad that they seem to be up to 8 months on I-130 approval times.

Omg why??? They transferred you and 2 days later returned your file to Nebraska? I hope it is wrong,  because it is completely unfair to make people wait so long.

I hope so too! She told me that Nebraska was processing faster than Texas so they sent us back, which is wrong, as she also said that TX is working on Sept. 4th right now...She also asked if I was military when I asked her why we are back at NE, which we aren't, but I thought that was weird. I guess all we can do is wait. Hopefully some of us October filers start getting approvals soon!

That's really crazy.. My file was transferred to somewhere that I still don't know where exactly. (I guess it is Texas service center like others)

I was strongly believing that my file was transferred until yesterday but I guess some cases were went back to its original center. I think I should call USCIS to check if my file was sent back to Nebraska like your case.
