when we raised our hands to swear to tell the truth, the interviewer saw our tattoos and asked us if we were in a gang or something

hahahhahaa

but, after a little tricky questions, he stamped approved on my application.

so glad im not in FBI hell.

the guy said i'll get my green card really soon.

overall it was a nice experience, even though my case wasnt that easy (we're young, and i came here on F1).

Filing for N-400 now

Congratulations!!! We just received another touch today on ours (was transferred to the CSC). Now about those tattoos... :whistle:

2006-07-27 Date Xiang recieved request for biographical information on our daughter

2006-07-27 Date Xiang sent biographical information to the U.S. Consulate

2006-08-17 Date Xiang sent biographical information to the U.S. Consulate, again!

2006-08-21 Date Xiang called, faxed and mailed the U.S. Consulate the biographical information

2006-08-22 Email from the U.S. Consulate, they FINALLY received the G-325A form for our daughter!

2006-08-22 Waiting patiently for Packet #4 to arrive, bring my soulmate to my open arms!!!

2006-08-25 Packet #4 sent out from the U.S. Consulate, in transit to my baby!!!

2006-08-29 11:25pm Email from the U.S. Consulate, the interview date is October 17th!

2006-09-29 Medical examination for Xiang and our daughter Qi. Interview is just around the corner!

2006-10-16 11:15pm VISA APPROVED!!!!

2006-10-29 Xiang and Qi arrived in Detroit, immigrations 2 1/2 hours, finally holding my sweetheart in my arms.

2006-11-05 Exchanging our vows, what a beautiful day for our wedding!

We're young too-- I'm 21 and my husband is 20. Were the tricky questions related to that? I didn't even realize that our ages would make things subject to more scrutiny, but now that you mention it, it makes sense!

October 2005: Met online playing World of Warcraft

December 19, 2005: David flies to America on VWP to visit

February 26, 2006: Married!

March 14, 2006: Filed I-130 ... by itself. Oops.

June 21, 2006: I-130 approved

March 12, 2007: Mailed I-485 package

April 5, 2007: Biometrics

May 30, 2007: Email notification: EAD approved!!

June 4, 2007: EAD received!!

July 24, 2007: Interview 8am APPROVED!!! Day 133 from filing. Emails for card production and welcome letter.

July 25, 2007: Passport stamped

August 6, 2007: GC in hand

Excellent news! A gang! Hahaha. I have a tattoo on my left wrist that says "J'adore" for my husband. :)

8/25/03: Phoned border guards & asked if J could escort me back to IA, yes.
8/26/03: Arrive in IA
8/27/03: Went to USCIS local office to ask if J could stay in the US and file papers, yes
2004: I-130 approved!
6/05: Filed AOS/EAD
7/2/05: Rec'd receipt for I-485
8/05: Rec'd RFE for Biometrics
9/9/05: Rec'd RFE for medical
12/2/06: EAD APPROVED!
12/5/06: EAD card rec'd
1/15/06: AOS interview date for 4/11/06 at 11:00 a.m.
4/11/06: APPROVED!!!!!! NO MORE USCIS FOR 10 YEARS!!! WOOHOO!!! 2016...seems more like a page # than a year. Haha.

Were you an F1 overstay or were you still in status at the time u applied AOS or got married?? Did they ask anything related to that?? How long have u been married???

i was in status when i got married.

though im not sure if i was still enrolled when i applied for aos.

i was told that it doesnt matter.

they didnt ask any questions about it at all.
