I only filled the DS-160...

Do I have to wait for the status to change or I have to immediately create the account and pay the interview?

Filling out the ds160 doesn't trigger any other process. Did you receive a letter/e-mail from your embassy with instructions yet?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Yes, I received the Embassy email

"This office is pleased to inform you that you can start the process of your fiancé/fiancée, K visa, application. Starting in January 1st, 2015, most of the K visas (fiancé/fiancée) will need to make two appointments, to visit the Visa Application Center (VAC) and the Consular Section. Please visit the following links to get more information about the process:"

I thought that I have to wait a "Ready" in the DS-160 to create the account in us travel and pay the interview.

The ds-160 is only a portion of what you must complete and submit in order to move to the next step which is Packet 4 (scheduling your interview and taking your medical exam).

Not sure how your consulate operates but you must submit packet 3 which includes the ds-160 receipt confirmation, the packet 3 check list signed and dated, and a scanned image of your passports biographic page. Once you submit all 3 things you should expect to get a response with packet 4.

Hope that clears things up.

That's probably not true for the OP's consulate (all consulate's have different processes).

OP - you should follow all the steps in the e-mail from the consulate. If you want help interpreting it, you could post it here.

Also, maybe you could ask a moderator to move your post to the regional forum - that would help you get specific replies related to DR.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Depends on the embassy not all have to do that.

OP asked for it to be moved to the country specific forum so you can get help from people with the same embassy.

I'm aware that it probably isn't how the OP should go about packet 3 but I figured I'd explain it to the best of my knowledge since no one else was giving the OP an answer.

OP follow the steps on your countries portal and you should find your answer there.
