Question on expiration

My fiancé and I got our approval (No RFEs!) from USCIS and it was sent to the consulate. We got an email from the consulate in Manila and the next step I think is for us to fill out a DS 160?

All we got was they receive notice and a link to find out more about the consequence process, but no specific directions to fill anything out yet. Do we wait for that?

Also I noticed my NOA2 has an expiration date of December 29 this year. Does that expiration dictates how long the visa process will take before it becomes invalid? I'm concerned that if we don't pay the fees for the visa until November, that the entire process will expire?

You don't need to worry about the NOA2 expiration, If the consulate requires more time for your interview to take place, they automatically extend the date of your NOA2. This is very standard, and NOA2's have a validity date of only about 4 months.

Hey Jimbo...You have your MNL case number, so you are good to go. Now you need to pay the visa application fee, schedule an interview, and complete the medical. The details are all on the U.S. Embassy Manila web site. Just go to their home page and click on Visas/Immigrant Visas/Fianc(e) Visa/The Interview/K-1/K-2 Applicant Interview Preparation Instructions.

Your petition validity will be, automatically, extended for up to a year, no worries for a year. ;)

As for the visa process, medical process, and CFO process ... here is a helpful link http://visaconnection-philippines.com/
