I can't remember where I read this information, so I'm adding a question to the forum to find out if it is accurate or not.

First, I read that when it says READY, then our case file is at the consulate ready for our interview. So, it says READY since September 15.

What I read somewhere was that if the date changes on the CEAC website that our case has been "touched" by a CO. I think being touched means that it has been looked at or reviewed.

Is that correct?

Can anybody suggest what it means if our case hasn't been touched?

My husband's interview is next week, and most things I have read say that the CO has pretty much made their decision about approval beforehand besides analyzing his mannerisms and knowledge at the time of the interview.

My husband and I are thinking positive and praying frequently, but we do not want to take anything for granted until the visa is in his passport.

Kindly respond if anyone knows the answers to my questions or if there are any suggestions. The anticipation is so exciting, yet stressful at the same time.

Thank you for your assistance!

The last date is the last date anyone has worked on your case, this is generally not updated especially multiple times prior to interview, and "toucing" a case is something people generally refer to when they are on AP and the last date their case has been looked at

Read the reviews for your embassy, do not lie, come prepared with all the information you need (forms, communications, pictures, medical reports, original docs), get a good night's rest, wear clean clothing and look tidy (but do not wear a suit that is overkill), and the main thing is know your spouse

Thank you for your assistance!

Not alot goes on prior to interview. If you want you can check your status the morning of the interview. Ours showed denied by the time he arrived for his appointment the first time.

Worry and stress doesn't help anything. Prepare fully and say a prayer. Leave it in God's hands.

Thank you everyone for your answers. VJ is very reliable and everyone is so helpful.

Lioness, (I love that name), I am sorry you read denied on the day of your interview. Because my husband won't have his phone, and will be traveling before he can contact me, I will for sure be checking the CEAC the day of our interview.

Ours want touched until the day before interview. I do believe it had everything to do with our 5 days of AP cuz the CO didn't have all the info she needed from system.

No need to read anything into touched 10 times or not touched. An interview will still happen. Be confident and prepared is all you can do. Matters not what they do on their side.
