No..the NOA2 states that it is being sent. The USCIS site will remain as you saw it.

You'll need to:

1) Wait to get the letter from NVC stating your new NVC case number (this usually takes too long)...or

2) Call NVC with your NOA2 letter (I-797) and ask if it has been received and get your NVC case number

3) Email NVC for the status of your case (which seems to take longer than a phone call)

It can take 1-2 weeks for NVC to receive your case and they will tell you it can take up to 4 weeks. NVC doesn't hold on to the case very long before sending it out to your embassy/consulate is the good news..

Most people simply call to get the update.

You can also go through a "menu" on the phone - enter your USCIS # and it will give you your NVC case #.

001 (603) 334-0700 then follow the prompts.

Actually, you can't use the automated system for K1s. They're not at NVC long enough. You'll need to speak to an operator to get your new case number.

Call either early in the morning (between 7-8 EST) or wait until midnight EST (yes they do answer the phones that long). I called at about 7:45 EST and got right through to an operator.

1-603-334-0700....press 1 then 5.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

They will also send you a snail mail letter with your case number (in the event you don't get through).

I just got my letter in the mail today.

Try emailing NVC... Our NOA2 was 2/28, I emailed them 3 days after and I was told that they just got our case and being entered into their system and then I tried again 3/9, they replied 3/14 informing me that our case was forwarded to Manila consulate. It's really hard to go through their phone lines, kind of frustrating, not to mention the phone charges... Maybe you should just wait for the snail mail from them... Ours received in the mail 2 weeks after the NOA2... Goodluck!
