Morning All

After I recieve the DS-230, will I have to send this form to my spouse for signatures?

or I can sign for her as I am the agent of choice?

how I can save time..?

thanks

Download the DS230.. send the application to your wife to sign it.. make sure she does not date it. Have her send it back to you along with photocopy of her passport (you'll need to send that with the DS230). You can then fill out the rest of the application. Do all this before the actual DS230 is mailed to you by NVC.

I had sent it to my wife a full month ahead of time.

Good luck.

Raja,

For India, you do not need to send anything else. As long as you have the DS230 and the picture and biodata page from your wife's passport you do not need anything else. No need to send a cover letter. You should however, on top of each page of the DS230 write your NVC case number. This is just in case, NVC somehow looses track of your paperwork. They'll be able to reference the case number on the pages

Good luck.

You need to check at the top of this forum "NVC General Information" and download the "flowchart".

The left side pertains to the Petitioner (Sponsor) and their financial capacity Affadavit of Support.

The right side pertains to the Applicant (Recipient) of the Visa and their responsibilities regarding the DS-230.

Supporting Documents to be submitted must be obtained by the Applicant and each country has specific requirements which must be followed. After the required documents are complete, the entire package can be sent to NVC.

Read James' shortcuts under "Time savers for NVC" just to familiarize yourself with the above processes.

And then locate the site that has the specific requirements for the country involved.
