K1 AOS: Civil Surgeon in RHODE ISLAND?

So I've just been going through the final touched of my AOS application with a fine toothed comb when I came across the "K1 Visa Adjustment of Status tips". Its a good job I did because discovered this info that I was COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF!!

" If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. Regardless of if you are exempt from a medical exam, you are still required to complete certain portions of the I-693 and have a Civil Surgeon certify the form (and seal it in an evelope). Specifically, you will complete Part 1 (Information about you) of the I-693 and provide both the form and your DS-3025 (if you have it, proving your vaccination history) and any proof of required vaccinations that were completed prior to entering the US. If you do not have a copy of your DS-3025 you will need to provide sufficient evidence of your vaccination history to the Civil Surgeon (talk to the civil surgeon's office to discuss what vaccination records they accept as proof). If you do not have proof of your vaccination history the Civil Surgeon may insist on re-administering all the required vaccinations prior to completing the I-693. Once the Civil Surgeon has has verified that all required vaccinations have been performed, they will complete form I-693 Part 2 (the vaccination section) and Part 5 (the Civil Surgeon's Certification). They will then seal the form in an envelope and return it to you."

When I had my visa medical exam in London I was told that I could have my outstanding vaccination completed at my own doctors surgery and at the AOS stage, I would just need to provide an updated vaccination record from my own doctor. THAT IS NOT CORRECT! Having the vaccines done elsewhere is fine, but without a civil surgeon to transcribe them, from the sounds of it'll trigger an RFE. I haven't found this information to be clear anywhere else.

I've been trying to do some frantic research online with regards to finding a civil surgeon that will transcribe by vaccinations for me and it looks like a lot of people are having a battle to convince their CS that they do not require a second medical, just a transcription. So I am calling on VJ (whilst also still looking into this myself) for ANYBODY within Rhode Island, who has had a positive experience with a CS able to just transcribe their vaccines at a reasonable cost. I don't want to fork out for a second medical when i know it's not required.

(P.S. just a thought, because I'm applying in Rhode Island, does the CS have to be in Rhode Island, or would I be able to visit a CS in Massachusetts?)

I am very aggravated with the same issue starting AOS this month hopefully no one will see vaccines with out second medical.

The doctor above will do for $175.00 is the cheapest I found so far.

I'm going to call around everyone tomorrow and see if i can convince anyone to just do a vaccine transcript rather than a second medical- will let you know if I get anywhere with it.
