When scheduling the appointment for the interview, did they have you pay a fee and then tell you that they would send an email letting you know when you could actually schedule a date? My fiancé paid on Friday, and when he tried to schedule, the website said they would consider his request and then send an email upon approval. Is this new?

Yes, I received the same message. About a week ago. For Moscow interview.

It only took about a day, and then I received the email saying to go to the website and schedule. And then I was able to schedule.

Maybe because it is the weekend, they have not had a chance to finish processing it.

It was an automated email. I think they wait to make sure the money clears the bank.
