You still don't understand.

In Asian culture, you married a person , you also married her entire family (whether you like it or not).

It is up to your wife to shield you away from her family drama.

Sorry to tell you this: Blood is thicker than water.

6 years of relationship is nothing compare to the importance of family relationship.

Time and again you will see it on the threads where there is a problem with an Asian culture fiance. You are marrying the family, not just the fiance and you need to understand to your fiance, they come first every time and also be prepared that there is the possibility that they will want to financially support there family. It is expected a lot of times. It's not just Asian cultures. Blood is blood. My ex wife's father was out for a visit. One of the dogs annoyed him for some reason and he very deliberately picked up the salt shaker, pour some salt into his hand and threw the salt into the dog's eyes to make the dog go away. Right in front of both of us. I didn't say a word but, looked right at my ex wife to say something. She never did. She wouldn't go against her father and call him out on his animal abuse behavior. You have to understand the relationship dynamics of not only who you are dating/married to but what is involved with their family. Oh and never believe someone that says they don't need their family or friends just you.
