5% Chav !!

I had to admit to owning a pair of Reebox Classic trainers in white, drinking Malibu, and eating at a Little Chef.

I had to admit to eating at Happy Eater. It was complete shite.

I have to add that I was on the M1 and desperate for food. I dont think even chavs would eat at a Little Chef or Happy Eater even if they were on Croydon High Street.

For other posts questioning what a chav is, it is a term used by the Brits to describe other Brits who have a way of life that is considered "a bit common". For instance, McDonalds would be considered a good restaurant, cars tend to be 10 or more years old and worth $2000, but with steros that cost $10,000, all clothing is fake designer, and all household items etc come from the equivalent of Target. Also, they all tend to smoke loads, drink loads, and receive income support from the government. They love gold but its the cheapest gold that can be bought and they wear tons of it, and someone in their family has been in prision at least once.

Well, this is very educational to say the least!! Learning more about the UK for sure! Might come in handy if I can ever book a bargain flight from DFW to LONDON!! LOL!!! I am looking but it seems the bargains are from Houston!

Oh, how about a "Toff/Posh" quiz instead???

I should post one of those, hehe!

There were so many other chav tests they could have included:

Have you ever bought ANYTHING from Elizabeth Duke at Argos ?

Have you ever bought a full weekly shop at Iceland?

Have you ever bought a pack of Sovereign, Mayfair, or Berkeley cigarettes?

Have you ever set foot in Stevenage?

Do you know anyone who lives in Slough?

Do you have any ASBO?

Is your house top to toe Ikea?

Have you ever enjoyed an evening with someone called Wayne or Candice?#

....I could go on :-)

lol I love your questions more than the quiz. Is Stevenage really that bad? Also, did you catch the ASBO teen beauty contest on Five? I read about it in the tele guide but never watched it. They said on some news program teens schwau (spelling is probably wrong) or chavs try for ASBOs. Hilarious. Vicky Pollard anyone? hehehehe

Btw I'm only 3% chav.

Wannabe chav

You are 3 % chav

You clearly know you are not, nor will you ever be anything even closely resembling a bonafide chav but that doesn't stop you from jumping on the bling bandwagon every now and then. There's nothing wrong with a bit of pretending though you'll never be able to hold your own with the true Burberry brigade.

 I believe I stayed away from the rice pudding. It was back in 1992 during a visit to Stonehenge, so lord only remembers what I did eat. I do recall not being very "happy" about the experience, though!

What's a chav???? :unsure::lol:

According to my sources, LOL, a chav is someone who is obsessed with fashion, designer labels or bling. Such types are meant to be ignorant, shallow and tacky - with no tact.

I think we have a few here in the States too . . . just change some of the questions and places, lol!

The difference - here in the states, being materialistic is celebrated. In fact we look to the celebrities for our fashion sense and trends.

I’m 0% chav, which isn’t a surprise to me. I never related to that subculture despite coming from one of (perhaps the) most notorious chav town in the UK. The only thing comparable in the US are devotees of gangster rap music – those people who affect a certain style of dress – usually involving expensive label clothes (and bling) worn in a particularly tasteless fashion.

Usually involves a lot of brand name exercise clothes and baseball caps worn at jaunty angles. The stereotype is also associated with underage drinking, high-school dropouts and teenage pregnancy.

Also known for 'souping up' mediocre cars (usually a Ford Fiesta) with more add-ons than the car is worth...

Ah, I see. I think if anything, those that take the product labelling to such an extreme are showing just how absurd it is.

The pot of noodles and posh noodles threw me off. Someone told me that it's the same as cup o' noodles or ramen noodles...is that correct?

The pot noodles are similar to cup o' noodles. Pot noodles are better, they come in chicken, tomato and beef, curry, and other flavours.

I am 3% chav
