Hi, 

 

I filed my AOS, EAD and AP last october. Received RFE and sent additional documents last Dec. I was informed that they received it on the 5th of Dec. However for the EAD and AP, the last update was last October 11 stating that they received my application form and up until now the status is still the same. Should I call them for follow up?

  • 07/18/2016 - Interview date

  • 08/12/2016 - Arrival (POE: Los Angeles Airport)
  • 08/20/2016 - Got Married :wub:
  • 08/29/2016 - Applied for SSN/Got my SSN card
  • 12/16/2016 - Applied for DL - (I was told to wait until they verify my status and will send me a letter)
  • 01/11/2017 - Got a mail stating that I can apply for a DL ;) and Passed the knowledge test 
  • 02/10/2017 - Passed Driving Exam / Received a temporary DL.
  • 02/22/2017 - Got my DL with 6mos validity. :wub::wub:

  • 01/13/2017 - EAD approved.
  • 01/17/2017 - received NOA (AP) in mail

Sadly you are only at day 37 now :(

 

When they send an RFE for any of those cases that you filed concurrently then it restarts the clock at when they received that RFE response from you! I counted from that 12/5 date in your timeline. Here is the link below that explains this rule.

I hope they speed up and start processing all of our cases sooner!

Timeline

  So if you have RFIE it stops and restarts if you have RFE it only stalls for as many days as it takes for them to receive the information. So if it takes 10 days  you would add 10 days to the processing time. Best of luck.

Oh really? That's not good, but I guess I need to wait then.. Thanks Krista for this explanation. I'll just keep on checking the status and hopefully they speed up the process...

Fax document requested for expedite - 1/11/2017

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. My noa is Oct 4th and the response to my rfie was received Dec 13th at USCIS. My case is at day 99. I called them today and was told that I should wait 60 days fr the response date to make an inquiry. That is if I dont receive my ead 60 days after Dec 13, I should inquire about my case.

[Day 01 ] October 4 - Status "Fingerprint fee received"

[Day 36 ] November 9 - Biometric Appointment

[Day 37 ] November 10 - Status changed to "Request for Initial evidence was mailed"

[Day 41 ] November 14 - Received RFIE notice

[Day 44 ] November 17 - Mailed off Response

[Day 47 ] November 21 - Status Changed to ''Response to USCIS request for evidence was received'

[Day 57 ] December 01 - Status changed to "Request for Initial evidence was mailed"

[Day 61 ] November 05 - Received RFIE notice

[Day 68 ] December 07 - Mailed off Response

I-765

[Day 1 ] October 4 - Status "Case was received"

[Day 1/57] December 01 - Form I-765 will be processed within 90 days of the receipt of the requested evidence :cry:

Wow! Just got a text that our I-765 case has been updated! "New Card is being produced"!

 

This was Day 86 for us from the October 17th case received date, they sure did like to push their limits on that 90-day waiting period! :) 

 

Hopefully everyone still waiting gets theirs approved soon!

That is so frustrating!! People that sent documents 10 days after me got their combo cards while I'm on 96th day and hear no updates :(

F-1 visa/status, F2A category - child under 21 yrs old of permanent resident

AOS (i485, i131, i765) package received October 7th 2016

Biometrics appointment November 22nd but did walk-in November 16th

service request December 21st (75th day) - answer case within current processing time

January 6th service request online (91st day)

got answer on January 12th that my case is on hold because they sent me RFIE on November 3rd and I haven't answered yet...I never got any letter, no updates on website, when I was calling them no one told me that they are waiting for answer for RFIE, they kept saying my case is under review

january 26th USCIS received my answer for RFIE

March 10th EAD/AP approved 

March 17th combo card mailed

March 22nd combo card received
