Correct. They're closed today so it will not count. I hope to hear something this week too but I'm at the point that I'm not even worrying anymore. Just gonna enjoy the time that I have off before it's over and I can barely get vacation days lol

I said the same thing today. I'm like eh, do I really wanna work? Lol jk I do but I'm just chilling from now. No more stressing over it. It will come

They received my AOS package October 7th (biometrics november 16th) so it's been 88 days already since then and no news! I did service request on 75th day and their answer was that my case is within current processing time... So many job offers came by and I couldn't start working because they can't move their asses faster. I'm so mad.

F-1 visa/status, F2A category - child under 21 yrs old of permanent resident

AOS (i485, i131, i765) package received October 7th 2016

Biometrics appointment November 22nd but did walk-in November 16th

service request December 21st (75th day) - answer case within current processing time

January 6th service request online (91st day)

got answer on January 12th that my case is on hold because they sent me RFIE on November 3rd and I haven't answered yet...I never got any letter, no updates on website, when I was calling them no one told me that they are waiting for answer for RFIE, they kept saying my case is under review

january 26th USCIS received my answer for RFIE

March 10th EAD/AP approved

March 17th combo card mailed

March 22nd combo card received

I called USCIS today and made a request to expedite my case due to severe financial lossthey said I should hear within 5 days. The IO was a very nice lady and I feel good about the request.

Do you have proof that there is severe financial loss? They will want to see evidence if so.

I was reading something online that an expedite request this late in the process can actually slow your EAD processing rather than speed it up. I have a job offer as well however, my start date is not until the first week in February so I just waited until my 75th day to put in a SR. Good luck tho! I'm sure they will be moving faster now that the back to back holidays have passed. We will all be getting approval soon :jest:

^ I did read that somewhere too. They might be working on your case but pause it to review the expedite you made.

And to be honest, I did just put a SR in - can't hurt to try after 79 days lol. But I'm still enjoying the days off!

Before I actually submitted it asked the IO what I should do. She told me to do the expedite request because most cases are taking longer so it wouldn't hurt to do it.

I don't want to get your hopes down, but I put in the same request on day 76 and it was assigned to an officer the same day. 4 days later I received a letter in the mail stating that my case was still within normal processing times and that if I don't get approved by day 90 I should call USCIS.

Today is day 91 and still no updates.

I was very positive that everything would work out fine, but now I am getting stressed out. I have a job lined up for me, starting February, and I would like to get everything done on time. I also wanted to travel home to visit family and friends before I start working, but I guess there's not going to be any time for that unless my card arrives this week.

I opened an inquiry with the DHS ombudsman today, but their response can take up to 45 days as well. I have contacted the senator, but to no avail yet. I also have an InfoPass lined uo for next week just in case. So even though there are a lot of channels you can try to use to speed up your case, all of it seems to come down to which USCIS officer is assigned to your case and his/her work ethics.

If you have a job offer ready, make sure to have a job letter stating when you will start or when they want to hire you - either way-, put in an expedite request and contact your local congressman with a letter and supporting evidence.
