Called into USCIS to open up a service request for the typographical error on my husbands EAD. I spoke to a lady who ended up hanging up on me after I asked her 2 questions that she wasn't able to answer. I called back the second time, thankfully the second rep was able to assist. She asked me a few questions and opened up a case. Given this was USCIS's error, she said she expedited the correction. I was told that I'll receive an email in the next 5 days with instructions on what to do next. WONDERFUL.

I told my husband I just won't apply any where else. I done had to sit and wait so long it really doesn't make any sense I try. I understand the wait for the interview but if your going to ultimately give us the EAD why have us sit and do nothing and not contribute to the economy?

Well I guess because a lot more person filed in October than the previous months in order to beat the raise in fees. Uscis is famous for their heavy work load but from what I've heard the load is more heavier with October filers.

My 485 status is still at ready to be scheduled for interview since the 5 and I may not get interview until April or May.. My field office is backlog by at least 5 months..

I researched the hell out of this and it seems that this happens more often than you would think. It's completely ridiculous and I'm super frustrated!!! My husband has been in this country for 9 years with no license, no SS# and no ability to travel and once we finally apply, pay their fees *they* make a mistake? This will probably take another 1-2 months to resolve btw. I hope everyone else's EAD arrives quickly and make sure to check for errors! Smh...

Trust me, I was once in that boat! I had weird dreams about my card and dissapproval. It reached to a point that my husband dont want us to talk about it coz its driving me crazy and yes every 10 mins checking. We are all left with no choice but to wait. I got mine on the 88th day; it still is sweet albeit the long wait.

Probably a silly question but how do you include the timeline into the signature?

It's not a silly question I recently found out how to do it. Using a mobile device not every options are shown to me.

If you're using a mobile device as well you'll of to click on full version down the bottom of the screen and there you'll see a wide variety of options. Go to settings and it will take you to a subcategory where you can edit signature...

If you're not then just go to settings and select edit signature...

Ok so there is finally new updates on the uscis website in regards to field offices processing times but I'm a but confuse.

It was updated last night. It's saying " Field office processing date for Hialeah Fl as of: October 31,2016.

I485 processing case from June 18, 2016"

Updated December 29,2016.

Can someone explain this to me pls.. (as of October 31,2016) is it that they haven't received update from that field office since October???

Thanks.

Hello Venice,

I would want to believe it is saying that the field office in October processed June filers, which is not looking bad because time spand between June and October is actually four months.

So if we could judge more and likely you may get to be interviewed within four months of your submission date.

I am praying for the EAD in the interim.

My field Office update is about the same too.

Ok thanks for the explanation. That makes perfect sense. I did call uscis a few days back and I was told that my field office is backlog by about 5 months.  So I'm guessing my interview will be somewhere between March and April hopefully.  But I'm very eager to get the EAD as I might be falling in a state of depression because of sitting home all day not able to work...  I really don't want to because I've been there a few years back as a result I'm still suffering from side effects ... :(. Hope everyone gets good news soon.
