Hi all,

I am new here, we just filed at the end of october so it seemed fitting to post here. We just got our NOA last week, and have biometrics scheduled.

My husband is from Iran and is worried that it is a bad sign that our case was sent to the National Benefits Center instead of a local office. Does anyone have experience with processing from a country with "not-so-great" relations with the U.S.? I am thinking that it shouldn't matter, but I'm not sure if it will have an impact on our case.

Cheers,

Lori

Hi Sonny,

I can't see your timeline but when did you file? I believe (could be wrong) that they can't expedite until after bio. I had my bio appointment on nov 10. I then submitted my expedite on nov 15 first to USCIS then contacted local congressman.. they confirmed they submitted my evidence within 24 hrs and now I am waiting for the outcome from USCIS which I believe they say should be within 5 days..

Hello, have you heard from uscis on the 765 expedite request. I contacted uscis last Wednesday 23rd but I have heard nothing back

I have a job offer from my cousin in law's boss, I'm going to expedite on that. You can start online (have been doing that) or work agency where they can find something for you based on your resume/experience

Of course you can apply for any job you just have to explain your situation if/when they ask you when you would be available to start. Just ensure they understand they are not required to do anything other than provide a job offer that includes a start date so you can request an expedite on you're already pending case.
