Hello folks,

My PD is 10-2-2015 in F2A category . I was a student and did AOS in US this year. Now I see final action date is 22OCT15 for next month in VISA bulletin .

Does that mean I will receive interview notice ? When I expect to receive that normally ?

Can I track it by case number ? Since I already moved this year and changed address in USCIS system, but afraid they will mail it to original address.

Thanks for any advice.

Good to hear it went well, Victor. Keep us updated about the decision!

You will need to start your own thread as this is a 2016 thread.

I bet he filed in October of 2016, so I would say that this is the right thread.

Well, it depends on the location, what USCIS service center are you close by? Where are you currently living?

He said his PD date is 2015 and he filed AOS this year, it's 2017.

As of June 30, 2017 Long Island office has been processing applications from August 12, 2017, so it does take roughly 10.5 months, so if you filed in October, there are very good chances to be called in to the interview any time now. They will mail you a notice any time soon.

So review with my interview. We went in and the officer pretty much asked me and my wife the same questions, what do we know about each other's family and what do we do for a living. He then kinda emphasized the fact that I overstayed my tourist visa I broke the law and that he wants to be sure I won't break the law again. We had brought supporting joint assets documents but he asked me to drop off extra tax paperwork 8 months of bank statements and a letter from my building. Collected some pictures and let me and my wife go. I'm pretty confident that it was a good interview, even though we missed some documents.

We're at almost at 8 weeks since my interview

6 weeks since they issued request for "initial evidence"

and 4 weeks since they received my response (hence they have had me without a passport for a month)

We will be calling tonight....Please everyone cross their fingers we get good news!

So we got our interview letter at the end of August and had our interview on September 14th at the Denver Office. (Our status was never changed to interview scheduled) We got taken into a back room, asked a couple questions from the i-485 form and then then we were done. Took about 5-7 minutes tops. After reading reviews, I thought we would get all these random questions about each other etc, but we had nothing of that.

The lady was super super nice and it was a good experience. Status was changed today saying that our card was issued.

Got my I-485 approval notice in the mail. Approved as of 9/18/2017 and no interview required. Was cutting a bit close there...as EAD expires in January.  USCIS received my application way back on 10/28/2016. For those who filed at Chicago local USCIS office - you'll need to be patient.

I already got approved for my green card in July but USCIS Memphis -I kid you not- send me an e-mail last week regarding my inquiry from may 2nd about my pending I-485.

Go figure how slow Memphis is..
