Today marks two weeks since interview. No green card or letter for I-485 approval. 😵

Would not want to be in your shoes. Calling USCIS will most likely result in them telling you to call back after 30days. Anyway will not hurt calling them.

Hopefully it is something minor. I can just imagine how frustrating it is for you.

Could it be something missing in your medical?

I got the medical mid October , so it's still valid . I worried about that new regulation for gonorrhea testing that went into effect in August of last year, but I checked the copy the doctor gave me.... it was filled out correctly. I have no clue what this could be .

Came home to it today.

and get this ....

It's the same thing they asked for in the first request for initial evidence !!!!!

Evidence of a lawful admission into the United States !!

We were very detailed in our response the first time... we took the physical evidence to the interview and offered it to the interviewing officer... He said no, i just need a copy.

Now i'm confused and in need of all your help am i reading this correctly in that they now want my physical passports mailed to them ?!!!

Submit original copies of your current passport and previously issued passports, including biographic and photo pages, current and expired visas, and pages with relevant entry or departure stamps.

We will return these originals as soon as we can.

They ask i submit this to my local office where we had our interview.

This is for ALL of your records, feels like an extra security check which is OK

Hello all!

My mother and I (minor) had our interview in Newark this past Thursday. We arrived at the building 6:45AM since my interview was at 7:15AM and there was a HUGE line to get in (the building only opens at 7AM). We passed through security, just like the one in airports. We got up to the office and they said to wait for an officer to call you. My mom and I actually had our interview together but they only called us around 9AM. The officer was very professional and polite. I was the first one to be interviewed. He asked for the originals of documents we submitted, checked them,  asked the "no" questions, then asked me basic info about my stepfather (name, birthday, place of work, my mom and stepdad's anniversary) and that was it. The same happened with my mother's interview, except they asked him about his relationship with my mother and if we would like to submit extra documents to improve our case. We gave him photos, joint bank statements, and our health insurance policy with our names on it.

He said he seems to have all documents and we should receive everything in the mail between 2-3 weeks. So I think we were approved?

They still haven't updated the USCIS website but I am confident everything went well!

I apologize for the extremely long post, but I wanted to share our experience since I have not heard much from the Newark office. I hope everyone else's interviews goes as smoothly as ours did!

I find nothing OK with having to reiterate the same fact over and over :( Not to mention I physically offered these thing to interviewing officer 3 weeks ago at the interview and was told it wasn't needed.

Nevertheless, I sent in a response yesterday to the LA PO Box

-copy of the response to original RFIE

-original previous passport with entry stamp

-original current passport

-translation of previous passport I-90 page as it was in Spanish ( was included in original response)

-pre-paid pre-addressed envelope for return on passports ( hopefully they use it so I can trace their return)

Response was delivered to their PO Box this morning at 9:30 a.m. Wondering how long it takes them to check it ....-_-
