I wonder how slow Memphis field office is and if field offices even consider to waive an interview based on a long drive. (With traffic, 6 hours!) Maybe I just hope too much for that to happen lol

Hopefully they take the long drive into consideration at least. Our office is only 10 minutes away in downtown LA, that makes it so much easier.

Right? Luckily I get employer discount at hotels since I work for one, so we can always make a two day trip out of it heh.

10 minutes is so much easier! Do you have an interview scheduled yet?

so I have been reading the pages here and it seems a lot of people with similar circumstances and even same filing location get processed with a different time frame. I am on F1 we got married in August 2016 (together for 3 years) and they got my file end of September Here is my timeline, can you guy let me know what next,  short of just waiting.

-Application received September 30th (sent to Chicago).

-Biometrics done October 25th.

-Employment Authorization and Advance Parole approved December 15.
-I485 status stuck on "On October 10, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee".

When I call, the I485 is being processed in Lee's Summit and we live just outside Charlotte NC. When I call, they say that it is within the timeframe. But I can see online taht other similar had their files moving faster.

I also see that some ask for a 2nd tier agent or file a request ... how do you guys do that?

cheers.

The processing times can differ a lot from case to case, but also depending on what visa you adjust from. This thread is for those who adjust from family based visas. Find the thread for those adjusting from student/tourist/work visas, maybe they can give you some answers or info we don't know about in here.

You can call USCIS if you want but you're still within processing time so they might not let you talk to a Tier 2 or put in a service request. The average AOS (especially those adjusting from non-family based visas) takes a year or more, some cases will obviously get faster than that, and some  (much) slower. So you're fine for now, you just need to wait.

second was completely ignored

third got a response but a generic one

i checked email this morning for my daily mail summary from Usps.. I see an envelope from USCIS

could this be our interview ?

i had already checked status online before checking my e-mail, but I remembered reading on here that someone got their interview notice but their status never changed. So I go check status again .... i hit refresh ... and BOOM ! Status changed ..interview scheduled ! Effin finally!
