At least that's something. I know the word of USCIS isn't worth much so the "90 days" can be totally inaccurate, but at least you know where your case is at now and that maybe the service request will make things move along. I'm crossing my fingers for a interview waiver for you! ♡

Yeah haha, it got me excited for a minute and then I was like.. "Well, it's the USCIS so I shouldn't expect much"

Thank you! ♡

great! congrats! when did you apply for AOS, and as a K-1 marriage?

They received our application October 6th, and cashed the check about a week after that. We then received an RFE which was then responded to by November 29th. No updates until June 2 stating the case has been approved and yesterday they updated stating they mailed out the card. We did receive EAD in February as well.

We submitted a service request about a week ago, I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not that we were approved shortly after. Good luck to those who are still waiting!

Hey EmpressBab, I remember you saying you were also being processed at the Seattle office. I had my interview today, it went pretty smoothly - she made me verbal answer all the questions from the i-485 form regarding criminal history, association with terrorists etc. Confirm your name, address, spouse name and dob. Then moved on to asking us how we meet, activities we like to do together. Where we got married and who attended. Asked about how life is now living together and then evidence we want to submit based on relationship - all we had showing joint paperwork was recent tax return and car insurance. we also had photos from the wedding showing us with guests and then a couple of snaps from our honeymoon. They didn't approve our case on the spot due to some internal papers that she didn't have and mentioned if in the missing file they find there is something missing we may get a RFE or worse case another interview. As we have not had any RFE this whole process I'm pretty confident it will all be fine and it is just a matter of waiting for internal processing to get their sh!t together. We had copies and originals of everything they request on the letter but as that is all submitted with the original paperwork the most important things to have are anything showing the joint relationships (she said tax return is very useful for this if you filed together) so now we are back to waiting.. Good luck with your interview

Nope. I did have a copy of a recent pay slip from my job but never needed it. As we had already submitted Employment letters for my husband (USC) with the original AOS package you shouldn't need them unless anything has changed

Had our interview today in San Antonio. Took like 15 min. Pretty much aligned with what everyone else has said in here. The officer was very nice. We didn't get approved on the spot because she was new and said she wanted to double check our packet. So now we are waiting!

She should have double checked your file before conducting your interview. What if she comes up with something that generates a RFE. The interview should be the final step to cover ensure all requirements are met. She could also have extended your interview time to make sure all T are crossed and I dotted.

A 15min interview looks to be shorter than the norm to me. That is just enough time to cover the standard yes no questions and look at your original docs. My interview was approx 45mins. The IO went through the file page by page and said there was a couple of documents missing. He printed the G-325A for me to complete n the interview. I remembered the form and told him I did complete that form. Turned out that the form was misfiled by the NBC and was not in the right position in the package. Missing also was my I-94 and I had a copy with me which I gave him in the interview.

I left the interview approved.

So I put in SR to check on our i485 on 5/12 and it got replied on June 7. They stated my application has been transferred to the field office on 5/19. I'm a bit worried because my status hasn't changed nor have I received a letter. My field office is Washington DC. Also I'm a bit bummed because I was so sure we would be interview waived and we're not. We are just over this whole process having been through the toughest embassy, we're tired of complication after complication of documents and so forth. But I guess we can do it one more time .our priority date was 11/01 and his EAD card was delivered ending of January .

You can still have your interview waived. Either you'll receive a letter with an interview date, or a letter saying the interview has been waived. So it's still a possibility. Cases that are interview waived at NBC doesn't get an interview waived letter.
