Can you explain hat you mean by this? How do you use the UPS (do you mean USPS?) app to track something without a tracking number.

Anyone with AOS interview

FYI important updates at of 08/01/2016.

 

Make sure you've been tested for Gonorrhea. It should be included in what the civil surgeon gave you as you copy. It will add an extra 120 days to the approval. 

 

Just had interview today. Everything went well out civil surgeon unfortunately didn't include it with documentation. Just check now to save you the headache of additional evidence. All else was approved just AOS is pending that evidence submitted.

I would not necessarily say it adds 120 days.  My wife's application got dinged for this as well at the interview back in February.  They gave us the paper with instructions as we left, the following week we had her tested, got the results and mailed them in.  They received the updated medical and approved her Green Card two days later.  Total extra time, maybe 2 weeks and most of that was on our side of making appointments and waiting for results.

We are up to 120 days with no word on interview or prices on the i485. Every day we say... Any day now

Hi guys,

I'd like to share a useful experience to get a job offer from an employer to expedite your EAD! All I did US format resume, applying online for tons of companies till one calls you, prepare for interview online about the most common questions perhaps will be asking and dress to impress! Once you are approved for the job they will be asking about your eligibility to work that time you can explain to them that you need a job offer to expedite your case to be able we to work with them as soon as possible!

One of the places I had a job interview at wanted to know right away if I was eligible to work in the United States/for them. When I mentioned the job offer letter I needed for expedite, since I had no EAD at the time, they backed off pretty fast thinking they were going to be involved with the USCIS too. He said something in the lines that he thought they were being registered as my employer and he rather not wanted that. Needless to say I didn't get the job.

I think it's really 50/50 how an employer handles the question of an expedite when you are going on an interview but not eligible to work yet. I just happened to have the one employer who does not want to deal with it.
