if you are talking about SSN application, you (or more precisely, the SSN applicant) have to go to the local office and apply for it in person.

Ok! Great just wanted to be sure. Appreciate.

We got a notification husbands card was in the mail. It's attached under the i-765 case number but I'm hoping it's everything. We file late October. Anyone getting any responses on the traveling permission? I need it by June

My card was mailed to me yesterday! Can't wait to get it in my hands..

Just wondering why did most of you guys wait till getting the EAD to apply for SSN and Drivers License .. I was able to get both without the same.. The SSN comes with notification that can be used for work only with the approval of USCIS (i.e the EAD) which is fine.. Only once you get your Green Card will the restrictions be removed..

I received my EAD on Monday. Today I interviewed and got offered a job for Senior Accounting Manager role for a company with offices on Wall Street! Right place, right time, they wanted someone immediately available.  So happy to be putting my EAD to use straight away!
