Hi

I have my interview this coming tuesday in London for my CR-1 visa.

I had my medical in london 2 days ago and I have just recieved a callback from the doctors to tell me I had failed the drug test.
I told them during the medical that I had been taking Co-Codamol for headaches in the few days previous, so they gave me a supervised urine test, and as expected my drug test came back positive for morphine.
The doctor told me that there will be a delay of 10 days from the date of the medical for the confirmatory paperwork to be sent on.
So obviously it is not going to be there in time for my interview on tuesday

What do I do? Do I go to the interview anyway or do I reschedule. How do I go about doing this? All I can find online regarding it is an email address to contact.

Thanks in advance

They will issue a 221G pending your medical exam. Once you have your medical completed, and turn it into them they will issue your visa. Did you have a prescription for the medicine?

This is similar to what is happening with my fiance. Our interview is in 5 days. We still haven't heard back from the doctor who he visited on Sep 28th. He told them he had used drugs before (stopped three years ago), and he hasn't used since. He had to take a urine test. It came back clean, but they sent him to a psychologist. He got an appointment for the day after, and the psychologist was supposed to send papers to the doctor. The psychologist pronounced him "clean." He said congratulations, so I don't think we'll have problems on that front. But the doctor said they still don't have his stuff ready :P

No I don't have a prescription. You don't need a prescription to buy it in the UK

Oh OK. Well in that case I would go ahead with the interview. I just hope for your sake, you don't have any additional issues with the positive drug test.

uh oh, do you know how long that stuff stays in the system???

My fiance takes it for his rheumatoid arthritis (at 22, isn't that fun) and he just took some a couple days ago. I told him not to take anymore til his appointment on the 17th. Think we'll get held up?

i find it super interesting too that you guys can get that stuff over the counter, that's a v difficult drug to obtain in the states!
