Hi!

We applied the whole aos packet (mailed on sept 26, 2016)and everything and mailed to:

Uscis

Po box 804625

Chicago, IL 60680-4107

Its been 10 days no receipt letter or anything. I was tracking the mail thru usps and the delivery is delay. Does anybody experience like this????

We had it first class certified mail.

I am in panic bcoz we are going to have a church wedding on march 10, 2017. I need a travel doc for him so that we can go home to the Philippines.

What should i do????

Restart a new packet of application?????

Well it's been problems many times before that's why most send it with FedEx ..... try and contact them or wait a bit more.

About 90 days so she should be good before March.

You are right. I should have paid fedex for this application. Its really causing huge delay for his aos status.

Thank you!

Fedex would make a difference of a few days at the most.

Maybe I'm missing something from another post. USPS shows if it was delivered to destination, so I don't know what no activity since October 4 means. Also, did they cash your check?

It didn't say delivered but delayed and then nothing since 4th but it doesn't mean it's lost though

Did you send it express to the address you listed?

I'm guessing if you have a tracking then you may have sent it express mail. (Like 20$ or something).

Express is suppose to be sent too this address:

USCIS

Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

It's possible that they're just trying to redirect your mail now.

The address you listed is essentially if you were just going to take the packet and dump it off in a drop off mail box at the post office and treat it like snail mail, in which it would probably take a while to get from NJ to Chicago.

USCIS Chicago Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS) deliveries: As in dropping it off in a drop box or placing it in your mail box

USCIS
PO Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

For Express mail and courier deliveries: As in paying for any quicker delivery, over night, three day, four day, anything that isn't basic mail

USCIS
Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

Edit: Oh yeah, you sent it first class and you sent it to the basic USPS mailbox instead of the Express or Courier mail box. That's why there is a delay.

They can either try to contact you to find out where you want the mail to go (because they may not know), or they're going to keep trying to redeliver. But if there is no one to sign at the PO Box address (which there shouldn't be), then it may just be sent back to you if you don't get ahold of who ever you used to send the package and let them know the correct address.

Yes i mailed it to the P.O. Box bcoz I don't have any idea that it can be mail into the other address stated above. This is causing me a lot of anxiety right now as everything is time sensitive since we are going out of US next yr march for our wedding (church).

What should i do again?

Restart a packet or wait for it???? for a long time??????????
