Interview Items needed

Hey, so I got an e-mail for my wife's interview congradulating us on having an interview. I was just wondering about a few items they asked for.

FROM APPLICANT(S)
- Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for W., C.
- Marriage Certificate issued by the PSA Philippine Statistics Authority for W., C.
- Certificate of No Record of Marriage (CENOMAR) issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) within the past 12 months for W., C.
- Medical examination results for W., C.

CLEARANCES
- National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) Clearance issued within the past 12 months for W., C.

Please remember to bring with you:

- Bring a valid passport and all expired passports for each applicant.

So my main questions are about the passport and the Cenomar. Her interview is in two weeks, so will she be able to get the CENOMAR in Manila before then? Also, for the expired passport then it was taken away from her when she got a new one with her married name on it. Will it be a problem? Will it be enough to show them her new one and tell them that they took the other one from her?

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

Hi.

As for the CENOMAR, I think the fastest way to obtain one is via online. It will be delivered in 3-4 working days from payment date. Here's the website: https://nsohelpline.ph/order-now

As for the expired passport, sorry, I have no idea about it. May someone will chime in.

CENOMAR (you apply for the CENOMAR, PSA will issue the CEMAR being you are married), embassy wants this needs to be less than 6 months old

NBI - For TRAVEL ABROAD or U.S. VISA ... the green version. Again less than 6 months old.

Passport. DFA takes the old passport when processing the passport renewal, BUT returns both the old and new passport upon completion. May be an issue not having it. Time will tell.

Do follow the embassy instructions letter.

Because you are married, when you apply for a CENOMAR, the PSA will issue you "Form #5 - Advisory on Marriages." This document is sometimes referred to as a "CEMAR."

Huh? CEMAR is always refered to as CEMAR. No one has referred to it as "form 5" except for you.

Wrong again! The Advisory on Marriages has been referred to many times in this forum. Please please allow Google to be your friend.

By the way, where does it say "CEMAR" on the form?

CEMAR tends to be used a lot on this forum, for many years from what I have seen. In reality the correct acronym should be AOM (Advisory of Marriage) not CEMAR ... shorter to type also ;)

Maybe we use "CENOMAR/CEMAR/FORM#5/AOM". That just about covers it now I think we made everyone happy.

I can answer that! It doesn't say "CEMAR" anywhere on the form.

So, if someone who is not familiar with the process is advised to apply for a CENOMAR, and told they will receive a CEMAR, they will be back here scratching their head and wondering why their document doesn't say anything on it about being a CEMAR.
