Help on some questions I have for CR-1

Just have some questions that I am getting confused about first is, is it best to go with a lawyer to help you or can one do it themselves without any delay or issue?

Also when they tell me about the evidence bit I get confused, my husband and I have photos of some family outings and our wedding photos, but we have no letters exchanged between us and cannot get phone bills ( I have metro pcs and they do not provide phone records of calls or messages). Not sure what other kind of proof we can provide?

Also do we have to mail all the evidence together with petition?

Background on us, we have been married since the 4th of June of the year. We have never been married previously, have no criminal records and have no children at all. I am a U.S Citizen and my husband is from and residing in Guatemala.

Please help shed some light on us to illuminate our path on this difficult journey, we just want to be together finally and live in peace. Thank you for everyone's help in advance!

First question, no delay is not guaranteed whether you do it with lawyer or not. I see it as for convenience to hire their help but other than that no assurance for speedy process at all. If you have money to spare go ahead but I don't recommend personally. VJ Members are very helpful if you have questions as well.

Other evidences: Third Party Sworn Statement of they have known you as a couple, co mingling of finances (I've sent a copy of credit card extension from my husband with statement and money sent and received).

Personally, I'd say don't waste the money on a lawyer and do it yourself if you're google savvy and can manage Microsoft word documents. Lawyers gets hundreds of cases and you'd be more attentive to details than they would.

Not sure what other kind of proof we can provide? Boarding passes, passport stamps, vacation itineraries, hotel/vacation bookings in both your names, photos, select screenshots of conversation logs (e.g., Skype, WhatsApp, etc.), rental agreements/bank accounts in both your names (if applicable)...time spent together in person holds the most weight along with continuous contact providing evidence of an ongoing and genuine relationship. My husband is living in England so we didn't have much financial ties but I designated him as my beneficiary on all my accounts and added him to my credit card. Threw in a bunch of photos with timestamps and chat logs.

Also do we have to mail all the evidence together with petition? There're varying opinions. Some say save it for the interview but personally, I prefer to frontload with everything for reference to avoid any doubt.

If you have any evidence, make a photocopy and send it in with your packet. Keep original for the interview. No harm done when sent in together with your petition.

Agreed with JessieABC, 'frontload with everything for reference to avoid any doubt. '
