Hi

Do we need to send the $985 I-485 filing fee and the $85 biometrics fee as one cheque when filing our AOS packet, or should these be as two separate cheques?

One check is enough. $1,070 payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security.

I sent mine in August, did not have any problems.

Also at that time my wife did not have any checks so instead we used her fathers check. They don't care as long as the payment goes through.
