It seems like a lot of people are skipping packet 3 and 4 and going straight to medical and interview, is that correct or are most people not entering it? I've seen some older timelines where the packets took forever, and newer timelines where interview was scheduled a couple weeks after receiving the embassy case number

I found out that my Embassy doesn't send the packet unless you email it and ask for it. I got the packet from another woman who had her interview a little bit before mine. We don't have to send anything into our Embassy, so once it arrived at my Embassy, we scheduled medical and interview, and began filling out papers.

Forget about the packet. As has been stated, all you need is your MNL# from NVC.

In my opinion, the U.S. Embassy Manila really doesn't send out packets, unless you count the interview preparation instructions letter. However, it's wise not to wait for that letter because often it never arrives and, at best, it arrives very late. Besides, you can read the interview preparation instructions letter on the embassy's web site when you follow the directions in my other post.

Stick with scheduling the interview as soon as you get your MNL case number from the NVC because you'll save a lot of time.
