Double Checking My Raw DV Photo Before I Submit

I took my dv-2018 photo today, the photographer was about to photoshop the background to plain white, but I insisted he should just give me the raw image as is straight from the camera to avoid any risk of photo rejection.

The lighting sounds fine to me, but the background which was originally white seems to have been slightly altered by the camera and gave a gradient background from white to light blue. Here's the photo https://cl.ly/2f2M1e1z3F16

Is the image valid? and if not is it ok to photoshop the background or should I just retake a brand new one?

Note that I used the dv photo tool to rotate, scale and crop the original.
